It's Fine, I Mean It's Not Fine, But It's Fine
Chapter 16
Mr.Schue's POV
I feel for Rachel so much right now. I knew that the reactions weren't going to be so great, but I thought there would have been a little more support. Blaine being the only one here besides me to comfort Rachel is one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever seen. It makes me see how alone Rachel and I are going to be in this world. I swear if Santana and Kurt try to throw her out of the apartment, they're going to be in so much trouble. That's why I'm about to ask Rachel to move in with me, at least temporarily.
I whisper to Blaine to release Rachel gently and he does. I cup her face and run my hands through her lovely hair. "Rachel, I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling right now, but I want to decrease that pain as much as possible. That's why I want you to stay at my place, at least temporarily. Give it a week or two for the news to sink and the drama to die down. Then, we can come back here, together, and try to reason with Kurt and Santana. How does that sound?"
In a muffled voice, she says "That would be wonderful. Thank you." I wipe the rest of her tears away. "A pretty girl like you shouldn't be crying her heart out." A small chuckle slips out. "There's that laugh I know and love. Now, let's get you packed up. Blaine do you mind giving us a hand?" "Not at all Mr.Schue. By the way, I plan on having a long talk with Kurt tonight. I'm so sorry about the way he reacted along with everyone else." I wave it off. "It's fine, I mean it's not fine, but it's fine."
