Chapter 14
Mr.Schue's POV
I'm going to tell Rachel how I feel about her. I don't want to scare her, but at the same time I need to be honest with her. Though, I think she feels the same way about me too so I'm not really expecting too bad of a reaction.
Rachel and I are currently out having ice cream at those lovely parlor near Times Square. I'm watching her eat Black Raspberry and Cotton Candy ice cream and it's adorable. She eats like a cute little mouse, but when she catches me looking at her, she flicks ice cream at me. I laugh louder and louder every time.
"Rachel, there's something I need to tell you. It's nothing bad, but it might be a lot to process so I just want to prepare you." "You can tell me anything Mr.Schue." I smile. "Your days of calling me Mr.Schue are over. You can call me Will for now on." She says my name several times. It sounds perfect coming out of her mouth. I take her hands in mine, take a breath, and begin saying what I've been wanting to say for a couple of weeks now.
"Rachel, I have feelings for you. Not in just a platonic way, but more than that. I've been seeing you differently lately." I can see her eyes bulging out of her head. "Please don't freak out Rachel. The last thing I want to do is scare you." "I'm just a little shocked is all, but relieved at the same time." "Relieved?" She looks at me lovingly. "I have feelings for you too Will. I don't know how much, but it's definitely something."
"Rachel, you honestly don't know how happy I am to hear that." "Will, the only thing is we have a big age difference. We are 14 years apart. What is everyone else going to think? What if Emma finds out and comes here to attack me in the middle of the night?" "First of all, I highly doubt that Emma is going to come here. Second of all, who cares about what everyone else thinks! All that matters is what we think." She nods. "Good. Now all I have left to ask you is this one question. Will you Rachel Berry be my girlfriend?" "YES! YES! YES!" She throws herself into my arms and I smile wide into the embrace. Nothing else could top this right now. Nothing.
