Chapter 4

Kurt's POV

   I originally wasn't planning on having any guests over tonight, but once I heard Mr.Schue's in the city, I had to make an exception. I haven't seen him in well over a year. That's the longest I've ever gone without seeing him. I've just been so busy this past year. Junior year was brutal and senior year is expensive.

   A knock at the door snaps me out of my thoughts. I open it and find a grinning Rachel arm in arm with Mr. Schue. "Oh my god Mr. Schue it's been forever." I say as I pry him off of Rachel and hug him. He laughs. "It has really Kurt. How's everything been for you?" "Good good. What about with you?" A smug look washes over. "Could be better. Emma wanted a divorce recently so I'm newly single and there is no more Glee club. On a brighter note, I'm going to try to pursue a Broadway career." 

   I pat his shoulder. "I'm sorry Mr.Schue. I can't even begin to imagine how painful it is. Ms. Pillsbury and you were married for four years. I know that's not long compared to some people, but in this day and age, that's like an enternity. It sucks right now, but it will better. I promise you. You're in the perfect place to forget your troubles and start over." "Thank you Kurt. That's exactly what I needed to hear. Now on to the more important question. Where's Santana?"

   "SANTANA, GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE!" A minute later, she comes out of her room rolling her eyes at me. "Yes Lady Hummel, I know Mr.Schue's here. You don't have to scream it from the rooftops like you have an undeclared love for him." I blush a bit. "I'm sorry." She laughs. "It's fine Kurt." She turns to Mr.Schue and hugs him as well." They talk for a bit and I go off in the kitchen to help Rachel make dinner, that way it doesn't seem like I'm invading their conversation.
