Chapter 11
Rachel's POV
I have an 8 hour shift today and I'm only halfway through it. I love working at the Spotlight Diner when I'm not performing in Funny Girl or most recently Wicked, but extremely long shifts always wear me out. Luckily, I have work off tomorrow and my next performance isn't for two more days. You best believe that tomorrow is going to be a Netflix and chill day. Before you make any assumptions, I'm not going over to any guy's house to get knocked up ten minutes into an episode of Criminal Minds.
Anyways, I'm cleaning off the counter to the bar when I hear a familiar voice talking to Kurt on the other side of the restaurant. It's Mr. Schue. A feeling of giddiness builds up inside as his eyes come in contact with me and he walks over to me. "Mr. Schue. What are you doing here?" He smiles. "I'm actually here for a job interview. I could use some extra cash and this sounded like the perfect place to work." Good luck! You're definitely going to get the job." He laughs. "Thank you for the boost of confidence. I don't want to keep you from your work, but I'll talk to you later." "Okay Mr.Schue."
As I watch Mr.Schue walk to the back office with Martin (My manager), I can't help but wonder why Mr.Schue chose here of all places to apply for a job. Was it because of me? It can't be. That'd be crazy.
