CHAPTER 6- I DON'T DO HEIGHTS
Hannah's pov
"Right people I guess we better get going, the suns up and if we want to get out of this place we're going to have to keep moving," Sean paused, "Hannah are you going to be able to move," he asked me sweetly.
"Yeah I seem to be ok now," I told him truthfully because I did actually feel fine now.
"Good," Sean helped me up.
Well at least I know that those out of body experiences do have side effects (make me dizzy and weak) but they only last a couple of minutes. What if I have another one? Do I want one or not? Even though it was scary at first it was very interesting to see my family; to see what they were thinking. All I had to do was wish then I was there. Could that mean I can go anywhere I wanted to. Maybe I could find a way out for us? I'm going to have to talk to Sean later.
Once Ben put the fire out we started to go. We were all on edge walking through this forest; god I hope it ends soon. I swear I could hear water or is just my imagination.
"I think there might be a river or something like that soon because can hear water," isn't that what I was just thinking?
"Sean I think your right, I can see a bridge," I could see it too. It was one of those string bridges and it looked like it could break any second. There is no way I'm walking over that.
"Ok it looks like we have to go over it," not a chance Ben, you can think again I thought to myself.
"Ben there is no way I am going over that," I told him.
"But Hannah there's no other way," he relied, I looked around, was right he? But when I looked down for the first time, I could see what he meant; there was like a 50 feet drop. So he was basically telling me it's across that bridge or a 50 feet drop but really we could still drop that 50 feet even if we did cross the bridge because it could always break. Ah Hannah you have to stop freaking yourself out, it not helping.
"But Ben what if the bridge breaks," I asked him scared.
"Don't worry this bridge looks safe," did he really believe that.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME IT LOOKS LIKE IT CAN'T EVEN HOLD OUR WEIGHT," I shouted at him in shock.
"That's why we're going one at a time," Sean butted in.
"bu-ttttt" I stuttered.
"we have to," Sean snapped.
"Ok, I still don't like the idea but I guess we have to get across somehow," I can't believe I'm doing this.
"Ok I'll go first," Ben told us.
We all just stood there watching Ben walk across. I can see that he is right at the end of the bridge and nearly there, it hasn't broke yet thank god. Then he made it.
"You're next Sarah," Jason informed her. I could see that she was a bit scared at first but she made it across with no problems.
"You can go next Jason," I told him and he done as I said and made it over too.
"Your turn Hannah."
"No you can go first Sean," I would happily go last.
"No your next because I want to make sure you get over," he said smiling at me, come on who can turn down a smile from Sean.
"Ok," I started to make it over the bridge slowly, step by step. I did the worst thing you could ever do on a bridge, look down. God I hate heights and this bridge is extremely high.
"Come on Hannah you can do it," Ben and Jason were encouraging me from the other side.
"Hannah look up it helps," Sarah suggested sweetly.
I did as she said, I looked forward to them on the other side and just kept walking.
"That's it your nearly there," they encourage me more, they were right, in about 3 more steps I would make it.
"Yeah I did it," I turned around to see Sean at the other end of the bridge making his way over.
"I told you, you'd be ok," Ben told me.
"Yeah I know I should have believed you," really I should have.
"GUYS, IT LOOKS LIKE THE BRIDGE GOING TO BREAK!!!" Sarah shouted at us. She was right again, the other side of the bridge was falling down and Sean was still on it.
"SEAN HURRY UP THE BRIDGE IS BREAKING,"I shouted, he turned around to see the brigde breaking then he started to run. Oh god he's not going to make it.
"COME ON SEAN," Jason shouted.
"HURRY UP," We are all started to shout at him. He's nearly there, just a couple more steps. But there no more bridge.
"SEAN!!!!" I screamed as I saw him falling, oh no this can't be happening.
"I've got him," Jason shouted.
I ran over to help Jason lift him up but Ben was already helping him, they had Sean up. I went and gave him a hug.
"I thought you were dead," I told him.
"But I'm not," I just smiled and carried on hugging him.
"Ok you two stop the hugging and start walking," Ben smirked at us.
"Yeah we have to keep moving," Jason added in too. So I reluctantly pulled away from Sean blushing.
"Glad you made it mate." Jason patted his back.
"Yeah thanks for saving me, I owe you one," Sean promised.
"You too Ben," Sean smiled at him.
"It's no problem Sean," well it looks like they are getting on well.
"You guys, I think I might have a way of getting us out of here," they all turned around and looked at me in shock.
"What do you mean Hannah?" Ben asked.
"Well I was thinking about going floating again," Now they look really confused and they just stared at me like I've finally lost it.
"Hannah sweetie, are you ok?" Jason asked carefully.
"Would you all just chill out I have not lost it," but they said nothing.
"Floating is code for the out of body experience thing because personally I think it just too long to say that every time," come on really guys.
"Oh that's a pretty cool idea Hannah."
"Thank you Sarah," at least some one agrees.
"Guys why are you still looking at her like that," Sarah questioned them.
"Because she has lost it," Ben said.
"Yeah Hannah didn't you see what happened to yourself last time," Jason told me sadly.
"It's too dangerous Hannah we might not be able to wake you up next time," Sean told me with concern in his eyes.
"The thing is Sean, this might be our only way to find out how to get out of this place and I would do anything for that," I told him truthfully.
"But still Hannah," I can tell he doesn't like the idea.
"Just let me try Sean, if it doesn't work, no harms done. Really I don't know if I can float again but I want to try," I told him hoping he would let me.
"I don't like it either Sean but this might be the only way to get out," Ben said.
"Ok, you can do it but let's wait until it gets dark," Sean told me.
"You have to be asleep to do it don't you?" Jason asked me.
"Yeah I think that's the way."
"Ok," So it was all set, when it gets dark it looks like I'm going floating.
