Chapter 22
Meeting the pack
Tyler's POV
I'm standing in front of the adult male side of pack in human form, the women and my mates are at home with the young children, and I thought it would be best to tell the guys first and then they can tell their wives and children themselves; it would be better coming from them.
My dad the alpha of the pack was here with my uncle and my friends dads too.
I don't know how to tell them what happened; I mean I can't just say Fiona died.
"Tyler what is this all about? Why did you just want to see us? Son, tell me what happened," dad could see right through me, he always seemed to know when something was wrong.
"Dad I don't know how," I looked at my hands. Someone touched my shoulder, I look up and saw it dad.
"Son, you can tell us anything, there's no need to worry," he told me, and everyone else nodded their heads.
"Ok. I'll start off with the good news then, Fiona had a healthy baby girl called Layla in the early hours of the morning."
"That's great news," everyone cheered, all very happy.
"Tyler, aren't you happy about this?" dad asked me.
"Yes dad I am very pleased they had a beautiful, healthy baby girl, however I just can't help but feel sad of what came of it," I told him truthfully. I mean I don't for one minute blame Layla for this, it wasn't her fought, but I feel extremely upset that Fiona had to be taken away from us. She was like a second mother to me.
"Whatever do you mean Tyler, how can something bad, come from a new life? And how is Fiona doing," dad questioned me truly clueless.
"That's just it dad, Fiona didn't make it she died through child birth," everyone gasped.
"What?" dad was shocked.
"She died, and Zack is so heartbroken it just pains me to see him, and her had to tell poor little Daisy that her mummy as gone with the angels. I don't know how he can do it, we have to him out, we can't let him do the funeral, it will be too much for him, he won't be able to take it-"dad cut me off on my rambling.
"Tyler, calm down, off course we will do the funeral and sort everything out for him, he has two children and himself he needs to look after. And after all Fiona managed to touch all of our hearts in some way, even though she was human, we will give her a send of as if it was one of our own; truly she was one of the family in our heart and she with always be one of us," dad told us and everyone seemed to be nodding their heads in agreement.
"Thank you," I whispered.
"No son, thank you for being brave enough to come and tell us want happened, and being there to help Zack when he needed someone there; to help him deliver the baby," he sound so proud, but the thing is I wasn't there when she had to baby, it was Hannah that had to go through all that with Zack, she was truly amazing and couldn't take her credit.
But the Pack doesn't know about the other humans being here let alone about Hannah. I'm going to have to tell them.
"I wasn't there when Fiona was delivering Layla, I only turn up once she passed away," I told him truthfully.
"Oh no, that means Zack was all by himself," dad sounded heartbroken.
"He wasn't alone."
"Who was with him then?" Uncle Will asked me, I almost forgot everyone else was there.
