Chapter 16
MEETING THE FAMILY
Hannah's POV
Me, Zack and Tyler walked out of his room and in to some sort of hallway. I stopped and gasped, I could not believe my eyes this place is massive, there were five different corridors that let to different parts of the house, at the end of one of them I could see the grandest set of staircases leading up on the next floor. And a few feet in front of us was the same type of stairs but leading down. How much money do they have seriously, just standing here I felt out of place. I mean I'm not a millionaire and to have this sort of house you sure had to be on.
"Tyler, are your family millionaires or something?" Tyler just looked at me confused.
"What are millionaires?" you have got to be kidding me he doesn't know, he's got to be messing with me surly.
"You don't know what they are?" bless he looked even more confused so I turned to face Zack but he had the same look on his face as Tyler.
"You don't know what they are either Zack?" he shook his head.
"Ok guys let me explain but first of all I can't believe you don't know what they are especially considering you are living like one Tyler." He looked just as confused as he was a minute ago; I thought that might have helped him figure out what they are. Anyway I guess I bet help them out before they get even more confused.
"Well you see it's very simple, millionaires are people with lots of money and I'm guessing you got lots of money because of this lovely big house you live in," I told both of them.
"Oh, I see now but the thing is we don't have a lot of money we are just like everyone else that lives here, we all have these size houses so it is just normal. Therefore we don't called are selves special names like "millionaires" like you called it because we are all the same. Isn't that how it is in your home," Tyler asked me but I couldn't believe it, they ALL lived like this?
"erm.. No, I live in a house about the size of just one of your floors," they both gasped at me.
"Really?" Zack questioned me clearly in shock but come on its not that bad I love my nice cosy little house; it was nice and homey, which I am sadly missing right now.
"Yes but don't be shocked not everyone has a house as big as this where I used to live because people just can't afford it. But don't feel sorry for me because I loved, no I mean love my house and I really don't mind living it. It's just where I come from things are very different from here but that's life and you just got to live with it," I told them plain and simple.
"I just can't believe it, and it is a shock but as I can see your world and ours is very different indeed," Zack told me but he has no idea.
"Yes I guess it does."
"Well, we don't want to stand here all day, so let go get ourselves over to my house and meet my family," Zack told us. And I really did want to meet them but I just hope they were as nice as him.
"Ok let's go." With that we made our way down the grand staircase, which made me feel like someone famous. And soon enough we were out the front door.
"Right Hannah my house is just around the corner so it won't take too long," he told me.
"That's fine Zack."
We only seemed to but walking no more than 1 minute, then I could see the same sort of grand house like Tyler's.
"Is this your house?" I asked him.
"Yep it is," he smiled at me.
"It's very lovely Zack," I returned the smile.
