"That is so dreamy," sighed Ruby.
"Yeah, seriously," said Vanessa with a dreamy look on her face. I frowned at them.
"What is so dreamy about that?" I demanded.
"Everything," both the girls chimed. I just shook my head in response.
It was now midnight, and I had finally blurted out everything that happened with Tyler- from school to home. I had repeatedly told them that there was nothing to know at all, and that nothing interesting happened. However, after two chick flicks, two pizzas and a whole lot of emotional blackmailing, I finally succumbed under their pressure and told them everything. They were currently sighing over how Tyler had whispered in my ear about how Chloe was his child.
Honestly, I don't see anything even remotely dreamy about this.
Looking over at the two girls, I decided that it was high time for topic change. Jumping up from the bed, I made my way to the stereo before blasting the music. Turning the volume up, I looked at the two girls again.
"It's time to dance," I said solemnly.
"No," said Ruby, rolling her eyes, "It's time to sleep." Just as she said that, she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes.
"Oh no you don't," yelled Vanessa, shaking Ruby violently.
"Get up, get up, get up!" I chanted.
"UGH!" groaned Ruby, "Fine!"
Grinning, Vanessa and I dragged her to the middle of the room. As the tune changed into a dance beat, we soon found ourselves jumping around like mad monkeys.
"TAP!"
I stopped in mid-dance-pose and turned to look at the window. I cocked my head in confusion. I could've sworn I heard something. Deciding it was just my imagination, I resumed my crazy dance routine with my best friends.
"TAP!"
Okay, this time, I'm more than sure I heard something. I looked at Ruby and Vanessa who had also stopped dancing, or should I say, jumping around.
"Did you hear something?" I asked them.
Nodding, Ruby walked towards the window, "It almost sounded like..." she trailed off.
"Sounded like what?" asked Vanessa impatiently.
Suddenly Ruby screamed, "There's someone down there. Someone who's staring at us!" Vanessa and I rushed to join her at the window.
I carefully examined the guy standing in the shadows with his hands jammed into his pockets.
"That's Tyler!" exclaimed Vanessa.
Ruby and I turned to look at her in surprise before we looked down to test her theory. Stepping into the light, the boy looked up at us and smirked.
"That's right. It's Tyler."
"Tyler?" I gasped in shock, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"What? I can't show up unannounced?" he asked innocently.
"Uh...let me think," I said while pretending to be deep in thought "No! How do you even know where Vanessa lives?"
"You know, you guys dance very randomly," he said, completely ignoring me and focusing his attention on Ruby. I felt something in my chest, but I couldn't figure out what was it. Shrugging off the feeling, I looked down to see him smirking again.
"Especially Ruby- she makes it look really hot."
"What did you say?" demanded Ruby with an angry glint in her eye.
