Homecoming and Haunted Houses

*Next Day Wednesday*

"BE SURE TO GET YOUR HOMECOMING TICKETS! THIS YEAR IT WILL BE HELD AT CROWNE PLAZA. ASK THAT SPECIAL BOY OR GIRL TO HOMECOMING. THE HOMECOMING GAME IS OCTOBER 18 AND THE DANCE IS THE 19TH. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!" said the PA system. I have a love/hate relationship with homecoming; I love seeing other girls get asked in the sweetest way, but I hate it because I never get asked. Each year on homecoming Ruby, Vanessa, and I would go to the game and support our team even though each year we lose; and then on homecoming day we just go to the galleria all day. We are so much fun, sense the sarcasm? I just don't know why they couldn't make this announcement during the morning instead of at lunch.

"Guys is it ok if I invited another person to go with us?" I asked hoping they would be ok with Tyler coming along.

"Yeah who?" asked Ruby

"Tyler. . . "I paused waiting for the chaos

"I told you! Both of you owe me $10!" exclaimed Kyle

"What?" I asked in shock "did you bet on something about me and Tyler?"

"I betted them that you would make up with Tyler within a few days; I won!" he said smiling as the girls handed over the $10 they each owed him.

"You guys are such great friends!" I said smiling

"What we betted against it!" exclaimed Ruby

"Yeah we said that it would take a week!" added Vanessa

"You guys suck!" I said throwing pieces of bread at them.

"You know you love us!" Kyle said smiling

"I do love you guys! I love y'all so much! You're my family Kyle you're the brother I wish I had. Vanessa and Ruby well I have 4 sisters but I guess god forgot to give me 2 more!" I said smiling. We spent the rest of the lunch just talking about random stuff; I felt so happy everything was starting to feel normal again.

Shaking my head I put up my phone and continued with whatever my table was saying.

*Friday (day of haunted house after school)*

I have been home and I'm overly excited; I just love haunted houses! The beauty of haunted houses is that it's like you're in a scary movie and you have to get away from the killer but you are safe from any danger. I think my parents can tell that I'm over excited because they keep telling me to calm down. I just can't help it; haunted houses are my addiction. Hearing a knock on the door I went to check who it was; seeing Vanessa and Ruby there on the same level of excitement as I am. I don't know why they are excited they hate haunted houses.

"Why are y'all excited?" I asked

"Because we have waited all year to see your family acts a fool of themselves!" Exclaimed Ruby

"You just like making fun of my family." I said raising an eyebrow "its ok I do too!" Before I could sit down I heard another knock on the door opening it up this time I saw Kyle. "We are just waiting on Tyler go into the living room Vanessa and Ruby are already here." I said smiling. Walking up to my room to get my phone I noticed my window open again sighing I called out to Tyler no respond "Tyler seriously come out right now! I'm not playing" still no respond going into the hall closet I grabbed my dad's baseball bat. "Tyler if you don't come out right now you are seriously dead meat!" I exclaimed walking to my closet I grabbed the knob with my shaking hand.
