As I opened the door the butterflies in my stomach went crazy, in front of me stood a Tyler in which left me speechless and in awe. Tyler had on a stylish luxury two buttoned grey suit with a turquoise tie to match my dress, his hair was styled in its usual quiff; he should wear suits more often. My gaze shifted up and down his body over and over again but each time my gaze would stop at his chest and I couldn't help but have the thoughts of last night come back to me; the thought of it caused me to blush.

"Are you guys going to say anything, it's getting kind of weird how you" Ruby said pointing to Tyler "keep staring at her and you" she said now pointing to me "keep staring at him."

"I know right it was getting creepy; they have been standing like this for the past five minutes and it's just weird it is like they have their own secret language."

"Well remember what they di-"

"OKAY THEN!" I exclaimed interrupting Ruby before she could say anything "I think it's time we go now."

"Wait we need pictures!" Vanessa exclaimed.

After taking pictures, Tyler and I were on our way to, well I really don't know he didn't tell me and I know if I ask he still won't tell me so there is really no point in trying. Looking out the window I let my thoughts overcome me, which was a bad idea. For some reason I kept thinking about Tia and what would be different if she were here and the more I thought about her, the sadder I got yet I couldn't stop myself from thinking about her. I guess the change in my mood must have been evident because I felt Tyler reaching over giving my hand a tight squeeze and asking me "What's wrong buttercup?".

"nothing." I stated shrugging my shoulders not really sure if I should tell him

"Nothing is always something so tell me what is wrong."

"I was just thinking about my Tia that's all." I explained "I guess I shouldn't have"

"Hey don't feel sad remember she is in a better place and she will always be with you no matter what." He said leaning over to give me a kiss on the cheek; it was soft and sweet. Looking out the window again, I saw lights shimmering and surrounding a table set for 2 with rose petals everywhere. It looked so romantic and I was more than surprised Tyler came up with the idea.

"Tyler this is so beautiful." I said already out of the car and looking at the scene in front of me in awe

"Its not the only thing beautiful out here." he said hugging me from behind nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck. After a few minutes of staying like this my stomach started to growl, "you know you're stomach growls a lot?" he said chuckling

"what can I say there is a baby whale in there playing us the song of its people." I said shrugging my shoulders Sitting down at the table this guy appears out of nowhere, he is around our age and looks a lot like Tyler except his hair is blonde and he has green eyes, he brings us two plates and a cooler

"Thanks Leonard." Tyler said waving him off "you can leave now." Giving Tyler an odd look he simply replied with "my cousin he owes me big time." Nodding at his response looking at my plate, I saw chicken parmesan and a side of macaroni from Chef Point, smiling I looked up at him. "I thought you would like it." he said returning my smile

"You remembered, why?" I asked

"I remembered because that night when I took you out was the night I realized I liked you; you're not like other girls. You care for your friends and you are sweet with them but to other people who try to take advantage of you, well you just don't take it. In short you stand up for yourself and that night you showed me you didn't care what I thought you were gunna eat what you wanted." As he said this his eyes started to sparkle and it made him look even more handsome, if that was remotely possible. The dinner conversation ranged from the usual topics such as school, our families, and what each of us plan on doing after high-school.

"Hey Tyler what time is it?" we have been here for awhile now

"10:30" he simply stated as if it were no big deal

"what about homecoming?" I asked wide-eyed

"What about it? Do you really want to go to a dance full of people who we see everyday? Plus I like it better here with you; just us two nobody else." Smiling at his response I got up from the table and laid on top of a picnic table near by, looking up I saw nature's lights glistening upon the night. The stars looked so beautiful; they seemed to twinkle to their own rhythm. Still looking up into the night sky I felt a weight next to me, knowing it was Tyler I kept my gaze on the night sky, feeling Tyler wrap his arms around me I snuggled into him. We just laid there is complete silence, keeping our thoughts to our self; it was a comfortable silence.

"Did you know we are looking at the past right now?" I said breaking the silence

"Meaning?'" he asked

"meaning the stars we are looking at are from at least 400 years ago." I said now looking up at him and him looking down at me "you see the stars are so far away from us that it takes awhile for us to see them so whenever you see a shooting star it was actually from 400 years ago." I said finishing up my useless fact.

"You are so random." He said smiling "What goes through that mind of yours?"

"Coconuts, penguins, turtles, you, school, fireworks, -"

"wait what?" he said smiling "what did you say before school?"

"I said coconuts, penguins and turtles." Giving me a look that said 'you know what I mean' "oh and you." I said giving him a small kiss.

"Hey Destiny do your legs hurt?" Tyler asked "because you have been running through my mind all day." He said giving me a half smile. Laughing at his corny pick-up line I gave him one of my own "Tyler do you have a map because I seem to have gotten lost in your eyes." We exchanged a few more cheesy, corny pick-up lines and each time the pick-up lines got more cheesier. When we ran out of pick-up lines Tyler switched over to jokes "ok Destiny Knock Knock."

"No one is home sorry come back another time." I said smiling

"You are supposed to say 'Who's there!" he said in all seriousness, someone takes their jokes serious

"ok fine who is there?"

"a cow goes. . "

"a cow goes who?"

"Nooooo a cow goes moooo." He said before bursting into a fit a laughter, joining in with his laughter not because the joke was any funny but because Tyler thought the joke was funny. We continued like this until Leonard popped out of nowhere again with a small radio, with music soft music playing, and disappeared into the night again. "Can I have this dance?" he said reaching his hand out for me to grab; grabbing it he pulled me to an empty space between the picnic table and the table we were sitting at. Swaying back and forth, to Lionel Richie's Truly, in his arms felt right, as if I were supposed to be here at this exact time and exact moment. Then again life has its moments and finds a way to screw everything up.
