Annabeth and Percy have these wicked looking weapons in their hands as they lay on the ground kissing. I stare in shock. Then they break apart. I clear my throat. They look up as if seeing me for the first time.

"Who are you," I demand, still too much in shock to say any profanities along with it.

Annabeth gets up off of Percy tells him something and awkwardly makes her way over to me. "What did you see?"

I look at her with wide eyes. "What I saw?"

She nods.

"Well, I saw a enormous dog with blood eyes try to attack me." She nods again like this is perfectly normal. But I'm not done. "And then Percy runs up with a bronze sword and starts yelling profanities in its face. That's when the thing exploded and you appeared out of nowhere and tackled him. That's what I saw," I conclude. I look over my shoulder to get backup from Sky and Ty but they aren't there. I look at Annabeth again and over her should I see both of them walking towards the parking lot with Percy. What????

I glance into Annabeth's face and do a double take. She has an expression of shock and absolute horror on her face. She says something. I have no idea what it is even though it's loud enough to turn the heads of a couple people around us. She doesn't even notice. "Come on, we have to get to camp."

She grabs my hand robotically and pulls me in the direction of my friends. We're almost at the car that my friends disappeared into when I my senses finally return. I shake Annabeth off and stop.

"Where are you taking my friends?"

"One of the only places in the world safe for their kind. Now tell me, which of Sky's and Ty's parents have left?" she replies.

"Whoa. How'd you know that?" Crap, shouldn't have said that. "And what do you mean 'their kind'?"

"I'll explain in the car, come on!" She's starting to look anxious.

Percy pokes his head out of the car window. "Annabeth, come on!"

"What was that thing?" I ask, ignoring him.

"A hellhound," she states nonchalantly.

"A what?!"

"A hellhound. And more are coming and will eat you if you don't get in the car right now!"

What she says doesn't scare me into the car. It's her face. Unflappable Annabeth; poker faced girl; the girl who isn't afraid of anything; is scared. Actually scared. That's what makes me climb into the back of the car.

As we start to drive, Annabeth starts to explain. "So you know all those Greek gods from Greek Mythology? They're real..."

**********Time Passage**********

The whole car ride my jaw is on the floor the floor. Sky looks sort of calm and so does Ty. I don't understand it. My fiends are like the most overly cautious people in the world.

At the end of the explaining I'm still in denial. "Wait, are you saying I'm half god? OMG. No fudging way."

"You see, that's the thing. We don't know if your a half blood or not." Annabeth looks at me apologetically in the rearview mirror. "You might just be a mortal who can see through the mist. Like Our friend Rachel or Percy's mom."

"Oh," I say. I admit, I'm a little disappointed that I might not be part god, but hey, I know four people who are part god. That's cool enough for me.

"So who are your godly parents?" I ask Annabeth and Percy who are sitting on the front.

"I'm a daughter of Athena, so wisdom and battle strategy," replies Annabeth.

"I'm a son of Poseidon. Water and earthquakes is what I do. Except mainly the water thing," Percy states.

"Wait, didn't you say that the Big Three weren't suppose to have children?" Sky questions.

"Yeah, well, I'm an exception. Chiron, the camp director, will explain once we get there," Percy responds. I huff and fall silent.

***********Time Passage***********

"We're here," shouts Percy as the car rounds an overly large pine tree. Something gives off a faint glow in the trees. And... Schist! Is that a dragon? I quickly tear my eyes of my window and lean across everyone else to look out the other one. Before anything really comes into focus for me, Percy stops and we're told to get out.

"Now, Autumn," says Annabeth, taking me aside. "I don't know if you can pass through the barrier. People who aren't demigods can't without permission. If you can't I'll give you permission because you really need to talk with Chiron, but I'm really hoping you pass by on your own." She smiles and turns around. She takes a few steps forward and turns to face me again. I notice that once again my friends are already quite far ahead of me with Percy.

"Now you try," Annabeth says, gesturing to me.

I widen my eyes, a little surprised that I hadn't heard a whomp or any sound at all as she passed through. I nod though and step through what I now know to be a force field.

It lets me pass. But not silently like Annabeth. No, when I pass, there is a loud WHOMP and I stumble slightly on the other side feeling like I just got tripped.

"Interesting," murmurs Annabeth. But I'm so tired by now, I don't even ask.

A horn is sounded in the distance. Annabeth smirks. "Come on, dinner time."

I think I got all the facts right. If I haven't, feel free to correct me. And if this occurs in later chapters, please correct me too. Thanks so much to my handful of loyal readers. You guys rock!! Please vote/comment.
