Patrick was taking Maggi for a walk one morning, her little blue sweater on to keep her warm.

He had been able to train her well enough that she didn't need a leash, and it had been about two years since he bought her with Pete. She had gotten a lot bigger, but not too big.

Today Patrick was heading up to Andy's house for dinner, Pete bringing Blake along to meet up with Maggi, but neither of them had met Andy's Labrador yet- Sessie.

He arrived at Andy's house and rang the doorbell, Blake's unmistakeable bark sounding behind him.

"Hey, Pete!" Patrick said happily as Maggi ran up to greet them. Blake's chain link collar jingled as he jumped around with Maggi. The two had a lot in common, regardless of them being different breeds. But unlike Maggi, Blake had gotten huge. Andy opened the door behind Patrick before Pete could respond, Sessie bouncing at his feet.

"Come on in, guys!" Andy said happily. Patrick whistled, and Maggi rushed up and walked right next to his foot. Blake tugged on his leash a little, eager to go in.

"Alright, lemme get this thing off of you." Pete laughed, unhinging Blake's leash. The moment he did, his dog rushed in the house after Patrick.

Inside Andy's house, Joe was just getting settled in as Maggi and Blake jumped up onto the couch an into his lap.

"Hey, you two! Go meet Sessie!" Joe said sweetly, pointing to Sessie as she bounded into the room. Maggi and Blake obeyed, bouncing around and barking in introduction.

Patrick picked up Maggi, careful not to hurt her as he tugged off her sweater. She squirmed a bit, bouncing around again as Patrick put her down.

"She's feisty, I can tell you that." Patrick sighed as Andy laughed.

"Now Sessie, behave! I'm gonna set up dinner. No rough housing with Maggi, she's much smaller than you!" Andy called as he walked into the kitchen.

"Maggi's actually pretty tough." Patrick chuckled. "She's small, but she's getting bigger. Blake's huge!" He tossed the last part to Pete as he walked in.

"Oh, yeah. Tell me about it! He still likes to lay on me at night so I can't get up. I'm used to it, his just lays over my stomach now." Pete said nonchalantly. He whipped his head around as he heard Blake growling and walked out to see the pups play- wrestling.

"Guys, come look at this!" He laughed. Patrick and Andy walked out and smiled. Sessie stood up, Maggi draping herself over her back. Blake shook his head, pawing gently at Maggi's ears as she dangled over Sessie.

Andy headed back into the kitchen while Patrick took out his phone and tweeted a picture of it, Pete doing the same with Instagram. Andy returned a few minutes later with three plates, whistling for the dogs. They ignored him until they smelled the dishes Andy had in his hands, then untangling from each other and rushing over to stand at his feet.

"Here you go, special dinner for you tonight." Andy said, setting the plates down. Sessie looked up at Andy, then began eating. Blake didn't hesitate at all, and Maggi sniffed it, looking to Patrick for permission. Patrick nodded and Maggi took a bite, then eating the rest no problem.

"What's in that?" Pete asked.

"Eh, it's this one recipe for dogs I found on Pinterest. It's beef, carrot, corn, and some turkey. Oh, and a few dog biscuits I blended up and put on top for the fun of it." Andy explained. Patrick smiled and followed Andy to the kitchen as he pulled out the meatloaf and set it on the table.

"Oooh, looking good." Patrick said. He sat down as Andy got Pete and Joe, looking over what they had for options.

Patrick always waited until everyone else got something before he helped himself, and Pete knew it. So Pete sat next to Patrick.

"Trick, how many pieces do you want?" Pete asked as he grabbed one of the meatloafs.

"I'll wait, Pete." Patrick said, shaking his head. Pete sighed and set a piece on Patrick's plate anyway.

"There are times to do that. We're your friends, dude. You shouldn't, it makes us feel awkward." Pete said. Joe and Andy nodded in agreement, and Patrick sighed before taking a spoonful of potatoes.

"Alright, alright. Can you pass the salt?" Patrick gestured towards Pete. Pete handed it to him, Patrick saying, "Thanks, Pete."

The guys laughed, Patrick feeling his cheeks burn up. "Oh sweet Jesus, SHUT UP."
