Step 4: Drink A Little More

Patrick was bothered by how Pete was acting today, and he felt he had done something wrong. Surely Pete wasn't upset over a little drunken kiss, right? Patrick dismissed the thought, his mind then trailing away to if he got another drink.

'No, that's just stupid.' Patrick told himself. But he ignored the thought, heading downstairs and grabbing a fairly small wine bottle and heading back to his room. He rolled into bed, sighing and twisting of the cork cap. He stared at the bottle, taking one last debate on whether or not this was a good idea or not, and surely enough, all signs pointed to no.

Patrick sighed again and took a sip, placing the bottle down on the nightstand by his bed and heading downstairs. He grabbed two more before shutting himself away in his room and drinking his thoughts away.

Pete soon got bored of watching tv with Andy and went to go find Patrick.

"Hey, I'm gonna go see what Patrick's up to." He said, standing up. Andy just hummed in response, too absorbed in his show. Pete rolled his eyes and headed upstairs to Patrick's room. The door was closed, so he knocked lightly.

"Patrick? Hey, Trick, it's me. You okay?" Pete asked. When he heard no response he asked again, becoming worried when still no one answered. "Patrick, I'm coming in." He warned. He opened the door and walking in slowly to see Patrick asleep, and with an empty bottle of wine next to his bed. There were two more unopened bottles, so Pete knew he had planned on drinking more before he just got too exhausted and passed out.

"Oh, Trick," Pete sighed softly. He didn't wake him up, just took the bottles with him, closing the door behind him gently. He headed out and put the wine bottles back, sitting back down with Andy.

"Well that was quick," Andy said. Pete shook his head.

"Patrick was drinking again. He only finished one bottle of wine before he passed out, he was really tired." Pete explained. Andy sighed and got back to his tv show.

"Patrick, drinking is not the answer."
