Get Out Alive

(Based off the song Get Out Alive by Three Days Grace. This is kinda creepy. Oops.)

Patrick walked with Pete, Joe, and Andy behind him in the pitch black. None knew where they were, but it wasn't pleasant. It was just black, and they could only see from the boys' phone flashlights.

All of the sudden a faint silver glow appeared in front of them. It looked like a man their age, and Patrick stepped closer.

"No time for goodbye," the man said as he began fading away again. He looked Patrick dead in the eyes, gripping his shoulders and making him gasp out.

"Don't put your life in someone's hands, they're bound to steal it away." The man was almost singing, his soft tone serious. "Don't hide your mistakes, cuz they'll find you, burn you." The man's face turned horrified, and he let go of Patrick, stepping back away from them as he almost was gone. What he said next sent Patrick's mind into panic.

"If you wanna get out alive, run for your life...." And he was gone. Patrick looked back at the others, and Joe's light went out. They heard his scream, then silence. Patrick's eyes widened, taking Pete and Andy's hands and bolting away.

"JOE!" Andy screamed after him, tears beginning to stream down his face. Patrick shook his head and kept running, stopping abruptly once they ran into a girl with a light blue glow.

"This is my last time," she said as she faded away. Patrick stared curiously. "It's hard to imagine, but one day you'll end up like me." Then it clicked in Patrick's head. These were spirits. Spirits of dead people. People who died in here. His curiosity sparked to horror, then she turned horrified too.

"If you wanna get out alive, run for your life." And she disappeared like the man. Andy took Patrick's hand and started running as Pete's light went out. Pete screamed.

"PETE!" Patrick called back to him. He was still alive. He reached back and tried to stop, but andy kept running.

"WE CANT RISK IT!" Andy said, and kept running.

"PA-" Patrick heard Pete's choked out and cut off scream and burst into tears as they ran faster.

"PETE!" He wailed, still staring back to where his boyfriend was taken away. Those words echoed around Patrick's head. If you wanna get out alive, run for your life.

'If I stay, it won't be long till I'm burning on the inside.' Patrick told himself. 'If I go, I can only hope that I make it to the other side.' He ran slightly faster to keep up with Andy. He felt himself slowing down a little and sang out loud and rough,

"If you wanna get out alive, run for your life!" He wasn't sure why, but that was what came to his mind. All of the sudden Andy smacked into a wall. Dead end. Patrick saw Andy's light go out, and he squeezed his hand tighter. He felt light headed, then something grab his feet and drag him down as he screamed. Andy screamed, but was quickly cut off. The last thing Patrick was able to scream was,

"PETE!"
