(Personally I think this is cute a fricking fuck so eNjOy PlS)

3 weeks.

That's how long it had been since Pete had been banished. Since the incident on the cotton plantation. Since Pete had lived on his own.

Since Pete had seen Patrick.

Patrick was miserable without his boyfriend. He spent his days in silence, talking and looking at no one. Kept his head down. He didn't stay after work like usual. He shut himself up in his and Pete's house and cried himself to sleep every night since Pete left. It wasn't fucking fair.

Patrick was laying in bed one day after an early dismissal on the plantation, back to the doors and windows. Just staring at the blank wall. He became slightly alarmed as shadows crept up into the spots where sunshine beamed through, until he turned around. He saw Brendon, at the head of the entire town by his house.

Patrick got up slowly, walking out while keeping an eye on them. He closes his door, stopping face-to-face with Brendon.

"What do you want....?" Patrick said quietly, but coldly. Brendon nodded.

"I deserve your cold attitude. But I'm here to say I'm sorry. I fucked up, and Pete got punished for it. I'm here to help you." Brendon explained, no signs of trickery or manipulation- only sincerity. Patrick tilted his head slightly.

"How can you-...." He stopped dead as Brendon began singing.

"La, lalala, lalala." He sang softly, and before Patrick could say cotton ball, the entire town had joined in, singing in a loud chorus. Patrick teared up as he began to sing along.

Pete could come home.

Pete got up and looked at the clouds. White and puffy. Beautiful day. He walked outside, picking up what was left over from his berry mix last night and nibbling on it. He sat down, staring at the border to the town. He sighed, about to turn away when he heard it.

"La, lalala, lalala!" It was a sudden burst of sound. He looked up at the border.

He could go home.

He dropped everything in his hands, racing back to the gates as fast as he could. He ran a hand through his hair, pushing through as he made it back to the town. He ran straight to his and Patrick's house, seeing Patrick outside and slamming into him with a huge hug.

"P-Pete!" Patrick gasped, sobbing happily into his boyfriend's shoulder. Pete squeezed him tight, closing his eyes.

"Fuck, I missed you."

"Missed you, too...."

"Trick?"

"Hm?"

Pete pulled away, dropping to the ground on one knee. Patrick froze as he pulled out a small box. "Patrick Martin Stump, you are the love of my life, and I wouldn't ask for you any other way. Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" Pete asked, opening the box to reveal a silver ring.

Patrick cried harder. He dropped down, hugging Pete as if he hadn't seen him in 3 years, even though it felt so, it was only 3 weeks. He buried his face in Pete's neck, nodding rapidly.

"Y-yes!"
