** Darcy's P.O.V. **

3 Months on and I'm finally finishing up my first year in college. It was so good to be finally free for the summer and I couldn't wait to finally get my honeymoon with Aaron. He was finishing up his last day in work and then we have 3 weeks to ourselves. He still hasn't told me where we're going. He's kept it a surprise since the day after we got married

I finally got home out of the traffic and decided to pick up some of our favourite movies and some groceries for dinner. I burst through the door with bags hanging out of me everywhere. I dumped everything in the kitchen and made my way to our bedroom to change into something comfier. Aaron should be finished in the next half hour.

As I slipped out of my suit pants and blazer, I threw on some running leggings and my favourite NYPD hoodie. As I left the room my phone began to ring in the living room and I ran to get it.

"The loving wife of Aaron Hotchner speaking" I teased jokingly

I heard a slight chuckle from him but then his tone grew serious

"Hey look Darce I hate to do this but a big case has just come through and I really need to finish it up before we leave tomorrow, I won't be home for dinner, It could be pretty late into the night before I finish, I'm so sorry to do this to you baby" he sighed apologetically

"Hey, don't worry about it hun, I was just going to order some take out anyway" I lied "I'll see you tonight" I tried to smile

"Don't wait up, we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow" he said trying to cheer up the situation

"I won't" I tried to up my tone but as soon as he hung up I slouched onto the sofa and sighed with disappointment

Why am I not surprised? It was only 4pm so I decided to pack some things and go for a walk. As I walked around the park trying to clear my head my phone began to ring again.

"Hey is everything ok?" I asked not too concerned

"Darcy, I need you down at the field office as soon as you can" Hotch said in a rushed and concerned tone

"Aaron, what's going on?" I began to get worried now

"Just come quickly, I'll brief you then" Hotch mumbled as he hung up before I could answer

Brief? Was this a case? I walked home as quickly as I could and ran inside to grab my keys, I didn't bother grabbing anything else I just ran straight out to the car and drove as fast as I could to the field office. I walked through the doors and down to Aaron's office.

"Aaron what is it?" I asked in a huff as I stood in front of his desk

"Darce we need you on our case" he said calmly as he stood up from the desk

"Aaron it's been almost 2 years since I worked a case! Surely I don't have the jurisdiction" I argued

"I called the District Attorney and he gave you the all clear, we need more people on this case Darce and I know you could never lose the skills you acquired at Quantico, you're the most qualified person we have" he begged

"Fine" I sighed "you need to brief me on every single detail" I demanded as we left the office

"We're just about to have an official briefing now with the other Agents and Detectives working the case" he reassured me as we entered the bullpen

I stood in beside the other agents and Aaron took the lead at the front of the room. What was I getting myself into? I hadn't fired a weapon in 2 years. I haven't profiled someone, I haven't taken down a perp in 2 years and by the way everyone's acting on edge I certainly don't think I'm ready to take down this kind of criminal.
