(Cathy returns home.)
Cathy: Hey, Dad.
Eric: Hey. How was the party?
Cathy: It was cool. I had a good time.
Eric: That's great, honey.
Cathy: I'm gonna go to bed. I have school in the morning.
Eric: Ok.
(Cathy begins to leave but turns around.)
Cathy: Dad.
Eric: Yeah?
Cathy: You were right.
Eric: About what?
Cathy: I'm gonna like it here. It might not be the most ideal or anything like that but I think it's gonna be...interesting.
Eric: That's great to hear. I know it's been rough for the past couple of-
Cathy: Dad. It's ok. We don't need to get into specifics right now.
Eric: You're right. You should rest. Good night.
Cathy: Good night.
(Cathy goes up to her room. Eric sits in his chair and looks at the photo of his deceased wife.)
Eric: Baby, everything I do is for you and our little girl. Although she's not a little girl anymore. You're our guardian angel.
