Inevitable

Jake POV

Alec was an idiot. I'm still pissed about him upsetting my angel. Who the hell does he think he is? If my babygirl didn't need me, I would have phased and ripped his head off. My poor little Renesmee. We entered the creepy castle looking place. Jane and Alec were beaming. Renesmee was very frightened, I kept my arm around her the entire time, I would occasionally kiss her head as we walked down the long dark hallway. I was not scared, I have killed better bloodsuckers than these. Plus, Sam text me while we were on the plane, the pack was in position. Everything was set if need be. I wanted to tell Renesmee to drop her shield so Jasper could calm her like the rest of us, but I would never let her this close to Jane without a shield. We finally came to the end of the hall. Massive double doors at the end. Alec turned and smiled at Renesmee, I'm so proud how she stopped trembling and raised an eyebrow at him almost saying, what are you looking at? He took a step towards her and 9 growls erupted. He stopped in his tracks. "Aro sent word that she enters with Jane and I" Alec said impatiently. "He doesn't like to be kept waiting." he added, irritation in his voice. "I don't give a damn what Aro wants, she will enter with her family" Emmett states cold as ice. "Your funeral" Jane mutters. "What was that!?" Rosalie screeched. "You'll see." Jane replies with a devilish grin. Before Blondie could respond, Jane pushes the doors open. Three chairs stood in a triangle in and enormous round room. Everything was elegant and antique. Aro spoke first. "Friends!" He exclaimed excitedly, "What a pleasure! I see you brought back my twins in one piece!" he added with forced excitement. "Where is Renesmee" he asked. I hated how he said her name. He doesn't deserve to say her name. "Right here" Renesmee states confidently. That's my girl, holding back the fear when it counts.

Renesmee POV

Aro's voice is almost papery, very delicate asking where I was. I was not afraid. I was afraid in the hall, but Jake soothed me. When Alec turned to me, something inside me snapped. I was not to be afraid of the Volturi. I have never done anything wrong. Plus, they all just seemed misunderstood. I hated the constant tension. I had an idea on how to get rid of it.... "Right here" I said confidently. "Ahh young Renesmee" he said happily. I stepped out of the comfort of my family to shake his hand. I felt my family's eyes burn in my back. Jake practically came with me, I need to thank Aunt Alice later for that one. Aro shook my hand and was very confused. "I have developed my mother's shield, and selective mind reading from my father." I casually say. He looks intrigued. "Selective?" he questions. "Yes, I only read the mind of who I want. It is similiar to my fathers, the only difference is that I have an off switch, so to speak." I said confidently. Understandment and admiration sweep across his face. "Join us?" Aro asks. I felt everyone tense up "No thank you sir" I decline politely. "Well you see, your relations with this dog will simply not do" he counters. "Mr. Marcus? Mr. Cauis?" I inquire. "Yes Renesmee" they reply confused. "I have a question for you both." I state simply. "What is it my dear" Marcus replies, more lively than I have ever seen him. "Do you love someone?" Cauis' face dropped, as did Marcus' I read their minds, Marcus' wife who was also Aro's sister, died.. Long ago. Cauis was married to one of the wives. "Yes, long ago. Why are you asking?" Marcus asked, very interested. "I am happily married, tell us why you ask" Cauis added. "And also why you're ignoring my statement" Aro includes impatiently. I move around Aro so that I am standing in front of Marcus when Felix suddenly grabs me. Growls erupt. "Felix" I say calmly. "Please put me down, I am simply talking to Marcus" I say sweetly with a dazzling smile. "My apologies Ms. Renesmee" Felix says as he sets me down without any official orders. Strange. "I can see that you loved her very much" I say carefully, "She loved you as well" I add. "You're not telling him anything new" Cauis snaps. "You were willing to leave the Volturi with her. It didn't matter how you lived, as long as it was with her, correct?" I ask innocently. "Well... Yes" he says, not understanding my point. "Thank you" I say sweetly. I move to Cauis, Demetri picks me up like Felix did, "Demetri, may you please put me down, as I have shown you, I mean no harm, only to talk to Mr. Cauis as I did Mr. Marcus" I say sweetly, dazzling him with a smile. He sets me down, again without proper instruction from the elders. This is a very good sign. "Cauis, you love your wife very much." I state simply. "And!?" he snaps. "Well, life without her is unimaginable, no?" I inquire. He pauses, trying to see if it was a loaded question. He eventually nods yes. I walk away, letting my curls bounce, trying to be extra cutesy. Felix is there in an instant, about to instinctively pick me up as I make my way to Aro, instead of picking me up, he takes a defensive crouch next to Aro. I simply smile at him, and he relaxes his crouch completely. Aro looks slightly stunned at Felix's obedience to his possible threat. "Thank you Felix" I practically sing. He actually returned my smile. Excellent. I look over to read Demetri's mind, he is mesmorized by my beauty and sweet nature. Perfect. I look over at Alec and read his mind, picking up on the guards fondness of me, his fondness increased as well. I add a little bounce in my step as I move to Aro to test the reactions of the guards. If they are quick to react, I don't have their trust. Hopefully I do. Jane is the only one to react. This is going very smoothly. "Aro, ask your brother Marcus the relationship of me and my family, each member" I tell him, looking at Jake on my last word. Everyone was intently staring at Aro, I knew I was making them nervous. "Marcus, please" he commands to his brother. "Oh my. Those are possibly the strongest bonds I have ever felt. They are all drawn to her the strongest, more so than even each other." he says, shocked. "Mr. Aro, Mr. Marcus, Mr. Cauis" I say sweetly, "I am closely drawn to my Jake and my family as you are to yours. I love them with everything I am. In addition, no one wants a fight. You'll lose family, I'll lose family; it's a lose lose no matter what. I propose that you let us leave in peace, you have seen my development, it's obviously not dangerous. I have grown very fond of you all," I say in my sweet voice "Including your guards" I add by smiling at Felix, Demetri, and Alec. I read their minds, they'd rather attack Cauis than me. Apparently he is the meanest of the brothers. They see me as too innocent and beautiful to end. Aro must have picked up on this. "My brothers and I shall deliberate." he says professonally. "Take as long as you like" I reply sweetly. Demetri and Felix come up to me. "Yes? Am I too close? Do I need to back away a little?" I ask innocently. "No, we apologize. We wanted to talk to you" Felix replies with a smile. "Ohh haha sorry, you both are pretty large. I was scared you were going to hurt me!" I reply half joking and half testing. They looked at each other for a long moment "We actually could never hurt you. You seem to sweet and innocent. You remind us of our baby sister from all those years ago." Demetri chimed in. They were brothers!? Whaaaat. Didn't see that coming. "Really?" I reply with my puppy dog eyes. "Really." They both say with a smile. "You guys have already showed me trust and understanding. I would be proud if I could call you guys my brothers." I say sweetly and meaningfully. Felix swoops me off my feet into a tight hug. "I would love that Renesmee" he says kissing my cheek Demetri takes me from Felix and kisses my cheek as well "As would I, young Renesmee" he agreed. "What is this!?" Marcus asked, rather loudly. "You guys love Renesmee, she has become your sister... Your relationship is both ways. Very strong." he says more to himself and his brothers. "They will not fight with us, and we can't afford to lose them. Demetri is the best tracker we have ever come across, Alec's powers are priceless, and Felix is stronger than two newborns." Marcus hisses to his brothers. I couldn't tell if he was irritated or not. His mind said he loved me like a daughter, yet his actions said otherwise... "Also, Renesmee is very sweet, her and this mutt my not be that bad" he adds apprehensively. To my surprise, Aro nods his head in agreement. Cauis looks at me angrily. "The relations won't do!" he said stubbornly. I give him a half smile. His face softens just a little. I read their minds, I had Marcus, Aro, Felix, Demetri, and Alec wrapped around my finger. "We have reached a decision!" Aro says as he claps excitedly. "You will go in peace. BUT you must visit every year. If you miss a year, we will come to you." he says seriously. I go and hug and kiss each of them, only Jane was flinching as I touched them. They all hug me back eagerly except for Cauis, but he eventually returns the embrace. I run to Felix and he picks me up and kisses me on the cheek. "See you next time little one" he says adoringly. I go to Demetri, he hugs and kisses my cheek like Felix, "I will find you if you need anything" he tells me with a wink. That's a confident tracker for you. Alec hugs me tightly, "Until we meet again" he whispers in my ear as he slips a locket in my hand. I wanted to give it back, but I couldn't be rude. I turn to Jane, "I know we haven't exactly seen eye to eye, but I just want you to know that I love you like the sister I wished I had. I just know that over the years, we will be great friends. I admire you strongly for your politeness and integrity." I say with all the sweetness left in me. I read everyones mind, if I did not have them wrapped around my finger yet, I did now. For sure... Including Cauis. I turned back to everyone and waved once more. I ran to my Jakey and grabbed his left hand in my right and my left arm grabbing his bicep. Sooo muscular. It was nice leaving with everyone I love in one piece.
