Facing The Pack

Renesmee POV

Seth greeted us first and hugged me tight. Seth was definitely my favorite. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "Jakeeeeee. Babeeeeee!" I say giggling. Jake pulls me off Seth and into his strong arms. "I got you baby" he says with loving eyes. "Always do and always will" he adds meaningfully. Seth smiles. He still hasn't imprinted yet. Poor little guy. Quil came up and hugged Jake and I awkwardly. Jake set me down with a kiss and Quil picked me up. "Am I just everyone's doll or something!?" I joke. Quil passes me to the newly arrived Embry. "You're the only doll I like. Be happy." Quil says jokingly. "Contain the thoughts!" Jake yells. "Only alpha can read thoughts in human form.." Embry says wide eyed. Jake looks down. He was alpha already!? I push myself out of Embry's hold and sprint to the woods. "Thanks Em!" Jake shouts angrily. I turn on my heels. "Don't you dare blame Embry. You had a four hour flight to tell me you were the damn Alpha. Do NOT pin this on him Jacob." I scream. I only call him Jacob when I'm mad. I have called him Jacob twice now. I glare at him which was pretty hard. "How could you not tell me!?" I shout as I run into the woods further. He is pretty fast in human form. I trip and almost face plant it but he catches me. "Get off" I scream, breaking his grip on me and bursting into tears. "Nessie I know you're angry but I wanted to tell you but I wasn't sure. I didn't want to tell you and get you worked up if I was wrong. I should have though." he says. His thoughts matched. I can't handle all of it. I fall to my knees and cry and cry. I scream at the top of my lungs. He looks so worried. He picks me up and holds me close. "Do you want me to go?" he asks in a whisper. I cry harder. "I want you to stop keeping things from me!" I shout. "Okay baby. No more. I promise." I calm down. His lips meet mine and I pull away after a minute or two. He fake pouts. I sigh and lean on his chest. I listen to his irregular heartbeat and drift off into the unconscious. I wake up all alone in Jake's room. I get up and go into the family room. Embry, Quil, Seth, Paul, and Leah are all there. "Hey everyone" I say with a yawn. "Want some more sleep Ness? Jake will kill us if your health isn't perfect." Seth says jokingly but sweet as I sit next to him. "I'm okay. Thank you Seth. This is why you're my favorite." I say through my gift. He grins ear to ear. "Where is Jake..?" I ask. They look at each other awkwardly. What was it? "Talking to Sam" Seth says delicately. I get back up. "Anyone hungry?" I ask motherly. Five heads snap to me with a huge smiles. "Like I had to ask" I mutter. I went to the kitchen and made some pancakes for everyone. "These are amazing." Leah says through bites. "Nessie we have to get married. Screw Jake!" Quil says in between mouthfuls. "Best sister ever!" Seth and Embry exclaim. "Thanks Nessie" Paul says calmly. "I'm just glad you all like them." I say sweetly. They scarf down their food and return to the couch. I go back to Jake's room and make his bed. I go back out and sit on the floor. I tuck my knees to my chest and rested my head on Seth's knee. I missed Jake. "How much longer" I ask Seth eagerly through my gift. "Five minutes maybe? Hard to tell." he thinks back. "Where are they?" I ask. "Right outside." he responds. I get up after our mental conversation and go outside. Jake see's me and half smiles. He has something I won't like hearing. I walk to him a little wobbly. I feel like I'm gonna pass out. He holds onto me supportively. "Jake. Thats final. I hate to make you choose because I don't know what I would do. I am so sorry. You look beautiful by the way Renesmee" Sam says sternly then lightly. "Tell her." Jake says to Sam angrily. Sam sighs. "Jake has to stay here and be Alpha or the pack ends" Sam says regrettably. "The only way he wouldn't be Alpha is if he didn't exsist." Sam says sadly. "Sorry" he mutters. "Thats okay babe. Be Alpha from home?" I question. "He can only be Alpha from a 100 mile radius." Sam says informatively. "So basically it's either the pack or me" I choke. Sam nods his head yes. "The pack" I whisper. Sam looks up with a smile. "No." Jake says firmly. "Yes. This is your home. Baby I can't do this to you. You would never make me choose between my family and you. So neither will I." I say, knowing I've won. "It's different." he says with tears filling his eyes. "Yeahh yours is me or the extinction of your pack. My family would be heartbroken, but could live without me. Your pack can't. I love you and I know you will choose your pack. Like you should." I say as warm tears roll down my cheek. I walk into the woods and sit on a tree stump. I break down. Life without Jake is unimaginable. I can't live without him! I felt warm arms pulling me up. It didn't feel like Jake though.. I look up to see Seth. "Hey little lady." he says with a shadow of a smile. "Hi" I whisper. "You know. Sometimes being selfish would be better." he says softly. "I can't Seth. I can't make him choose. You need him. Yeah I need him too. I want to say my life doesn't depend on it too, but it does. I can't even move without him and it got worse with time. We didn't talk for an hour and I was utterly paralyzed. I get nightmares and I can't breathe without him. Seth. I won't live without him. So I am letting go completely. I will choose for him." I say calmly. "RENESMEE CARLIE CULLEN-BLACK DON'T YOU DARE KILL YOURSELF OVER THIS!" Seth shouts at me. He starts shaking. He sets me down and I take a few steps back. Jake comes and pulls me in and I feel complete. He looks me in my empty eyes. Without him, all I am is empty. He holds me close. He wants to say goodbye to me. I understand. I will leave him in one piece. "I should go. You're right. I should have never came." I said emotionless. Screw what Seth said. What's the point of living without your life? Nothing. "Yeah we will miss our flight" he says evenly. I gaze into his eyes for a hint of a joke. There was none. I want to be mad that he didn't choose his pack, but I can't. I kiss him like its the first time I ever have. "Your room. Now." I tell him quickly through my gift. He smiles and takes me there. I kiss and make love to him for five and a half hours straight. I fall asleep on his bare chest completely exhausted and satisfied. I wake up before him and got dressed. I go and find Sam. "Sam. How can we make it work?" I ask with curious eyes. "Well. We have a reservation in Lansing. It's the same. Its our cousins so to speak. If he becomes their Alpha, we can stay alive. We will all have to move there however." he says sadly. "I figure it's better than the extinction of the pack. I just got off the phone with them, everything is set. They just lost their Alpha as well I guess. We have a place to live and our pack will go on. Renesmee. Thank you. You were willing to let go of everything you love to save us. You are our sister. I am so proud to call you my friend. I love you sis" he said endearingly. I hug him tightly and go back inside to a sleeping Jake. He seemed so peaceful but I could tell he was missing holding me by the awkward position he was in. I changed into some spandex and a sports bra and got in bed with him. I fit into his arms perfectly. He woke up fifteen minutes later. He probably would have slept longer, but I kept outling his perfect face. His eyes opened and he pulled me on top of him. I kissed him hungrily. He laughed and turned on top of me. He kissed my neck and made me giggle. The room was suddenly filled with my laughter. Seth, Embry, and Quil all come into his room. They scream and start laughing. I kiss Jake once more and get out of bed. I threw him a pair of sweats while the others gawked at my model body. Jake slipped on the the sweats and got up. He wrapped his warm arms around me. "You two are picture perfect" Quil teased. "Jealous?" I said with a wink. "Yes" Embry said honestly. I just turned and smiled at Jake. "Babe. Where's Billy?" I asked with curious eyes. "He should be back any minute. He's been on a fishing trip." he said sweetly. "Damn. I wished you would talk to me that nice" Seth joked. Jake laughed. "Unless you are this cute, sweet, and overall just perfect in every single way I won't." he said to me sweetly but was answering Seth. "Dude. Seth made the comment. Wanna look at him?" Quil asked rudely. It stung me a little. I untangled myself from Jake and started some dinner for everyone. He looked sad as I left. "Spend time with your brothers love." I said with my gift. "Babe, I want you though" he said aloud. I giggled and gave him a quick kiss and a long hug. The other boys smiled and joined our little hug. Jake looked irritated, but I loved it. I cooked everyone dinner and Billy came home. "Jake! Little Flower!" he exclaimed. I gave him his plate and he ate up gratefully. I smiled as everyone ate. I sat on Jake's lap as we ate. Everyone eyed us caringly. "I love you guys" I said honestly. "We love you too Little Flower" Billy said with a lot of heart. I smiled. It was time for Jake and I to leave. We said our goodbyes and went to the plane with the knowledge that we were keeping each other and the pack. The pack, including Billy, would move to Michigan. I was very excited. We would all live within five miles of each other. My grandparents knew of the pack and had a treaty with them, it was similiar to the one we had with I guess, Jake's pack. We got home and were showered in hugs and kisses. I missed them all like crazy! "Hey babe..." Jake started. "Yes love?" I ask as I kiss his cheek. He couldn't help but smile. "Being Alpha, I will be on the phone a lot..." he said delicately. " I also might have to patrol once every two weeks." he said carefully. "Okay baby, as long as you aren't all obnoxious with your phone and I get to fall asleep in your strong arms, I am perfectly happy." I say as sweetly as I could manage. "I promise. I love you Nessie" he said as he hugged me tight. "I love you more Jake" I say as I kiss him lightly. "Monster. I have missed you so much. Don't ever leave for that long again!" Uncle Emmett boomed. I giggled and Uncle Jasper picked me up and put me on his back. He gave me a piggy back ride to our game house. Everything looked the same except there was an extra door. We went to the door and it opened to a narrow hallway. We went down the hall and Jake pulled me into his arms. Uncle Jasper looked irritated, but let it go. We come into a very pretty little house. It had three bedrooms, a kitchen, three bathrooms, two family rooms, a gameroom, and an elevator to the main house. Andrew came out and grabbed me from Jake's arms. He hugged me and kissed my cheek. Anthony came out and did the same. This must be their house. "Hello" I say politely. "Heyy Nessssss!" Anthony says excitedly. I was exhausted and Jake was already on his phone. I wanted my husbands attention and some sleep. "Jakey" I say sweetly. He waits a moment, "Yes" he says, not irritated but definately not sweet. Uncle growled at his tone. "Oh nevermind honey. I was just sleepy. But I can go to bed by myself." I said as I gave him a swift kiss and sprinted out the door and down the hallway to the elevator. Jake was right on my heels. "Babe?" he asked carefully. "Yes" I said, choking back tears. "I know I'm already on my phone a lot, but I promised you would fall asleep in my arms. Unless you don't want to, I intend on keeping that promise" he said lightly. I jumped in his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist. I laid my head on his shoulder and kissed his neck occasionally as he took me to our room. He laid down and I was next to him. "Babe." I say quietly. "Yes love?" he says with loving eyes. "Do you really have to be on your phone this much. I feel selfish, but I don't like sharing your attention." I say embarrassed. He laughs a little. "No. I don't. I can just send the schedules rather than ask what they prefer." he says smiling. "We can just get a set one so that I won't be on the phone except for emergencies" he says lovingly. I kiss him delicately and fall asleep in his strong arms.

Jake POV

I feel horrible for doing this to Ness. I chose her over my pack and the boys know it. They don't hold it against us, but I think they are a little dissapointed. I am Alpha and have my love. This is an utter dream. I have seven pack memebers from La push, Quil, Embry, Seth, Leah, Paul, Sam, and Me. Then I had five members from Lansing, John, Kyle, Danny, Joe, Garrett, and Robby. They all seemed really nice. Monday was either me or John, Tuesday was either Embry or Kyle, Wednesday was either Danny or Seth, Thursday was either Leah or Joe, Friday was either Quil or Garrett, Saturday was either Robby or Sam, and Sunday was either Danny or Leah. Today was Tuesday so I had a while. I watched Ness sleep. She looked so peaceful. I feel horrible for all I have put her through. I can't wake her, I have bothered her enough this past week for a lifetime! I let her sleep and put her hand to my face and watch her dream. She told me I could do this when I first started sleeping with her at night, but this was the first time I ever did. She was dreaming about me and her and how happy she was. Then I left for duty and she plastered on a smile. As soon as I left, she broke down. She cryed and cryed. I couldn't help her though... This was too much. She stopped crying when Emmett found her. She laughed and giggled that pretty laugh when he joked with her. Maybe there is a compromise. Seth came and she jumped to hug him. He was her favorite. She seemed a lot better, not completely, but better. I came back and she almost tackled me in kisses. She wrapped her arms and legs around me and we went to our room. I put her hand down and kissed her forehead. I looked at my sleeping beauty. I don't know how I got so lucky to have this girl dream about me. She woke up and rubbed her eyes. She yawned and put her head on my chest and fell back asleep. She slept for another fifteen minutes. Her pretty eyes fluttered and she opened them. "Goodmorning love" she says sleepily. "Goodmorning beautiful" I reply. She smiled, showing her perfect teeth. I heard someone and got up super quick, startling my beautiful wife. She must have read my mind because she hopped on my back. I recognized the person.... Dammit Quil! Quil comes in. "Hope I'm interrupting something" he joked. "Damn I was hoping she was naked." he thought. Renesmee cringed, obviously hearing it. "Get out Quil." I say rudely. Ness doesn't disagree. "Oh you want some alone time?" he teases. "Yes" I say as I grab Ness and kiss her passionately. I lay her on the bed and then lay on top of her. She is giggling like crazy and reaches for my pants. We go under the covers and she throws them off the bed. Quil gasps. "Why can't she be the one to lose clothes?" he thinks angrily. "Quil. Out. We are going to have a family meeting in an hour." Nessie says sternly. "Make it two or three" I say as I kiss Nessie's neck. She giggles. "Three or four it is!" she says with a wink. Quil leaves awkwardly. We stayed in bed for four and a half hours. With everything we have been through, it was much needed. We called the meeting for the La Push wolves. We were in our family room, they were sitting and Ness was standing with me attatched to her hand.

Renesmee POV

"Okay. So you all know I love you more than anything right?" she asks sweetly. "Except for me." I say smiling as I wrap my arms around her. She giggles. "Okay so minus Jake, I love you all more than anything. You guys are all my family, but we need to have some boundaries." I say as nice as possible. "For the sake of our sanity and privacy, please let me know when you guys are coming. We love having you all, but we would prefer being dressed when you came, if you know what we mean." I say delicately. They all bust up laughing. I blush scarlet. I walk into the bedroom and plop on the bed and bury my face in the pillow. I feel Jake hop on the bed and lay next to me, rubbing soothing circles on my back. "Wanna shower babe? The guys are gone." he asks sweetly. "Yes please love" I say with my gift. I get up and start the shower. Jake kissed me passionately and tore off my clothes and I tore off his. We got in the shower and he washed my hair like normal. We got out and he wrapped a towel around me then him. I did my hair and it hung perfectly. He fohawked his. We went to our closet and looked for something to wear. He pulled on some gray Nike sweats and I put on some gray spandex and a white sports bra. We got into the kitchen and made some dinner. Tomorrow we get to go to school and I get to see Sophie. Yayyyyy.
