Rick and I go together to dinner, but sit separately. I decide to sit by myself, because I don't think I can face anyone. Yet everyone still comes to sit with me. "You have to stop sitting by yourself, loner," Peter smiles. I don't look up but he sits next to me anyway. Marlene sits by my other side, "You can't spend the night before an attack by yourself," Marlene says.

"Why not?" I ask, "Because you need to live a little," she answers. I shrug, "Oh come on, your just like your dad, you're no fun," she laughs. I smile a little. After dinner I try to avoid eye contact with anyone so I can get to Johanna's office without being talked to.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, "Raven?" I hear from behind. I turn around to see Grant, "If tomorrow you rescue Molly, tell her that Maya and I miss her," he says. I nod, "And Raven," he says, "I'll see you later." I sigh, "Maybe," I say. "No. For sure," he says.

I keep walking until I reach Johanna's office. "You're all going to report here by one o'clock a.m. sharp, understood?" Johanna says. We all nod, but I can tell none of us are sure of ourselves. "Good," she says, "good luck to all of you tomorrow." She dismisses us.

I go into my living quarters and into my room. Molly's bed is just how she left it, with her journal on top. I sit on her bed and pick up the journal. I hold it in my hands, without opening it. I put it back and climb onto my bed. But I can't sleep. My body is tired but my mind is wide awake

I think about so many things, some completely irrelevant. I think about tomorrow. I trust Kendall more than I trust myself at this point. When really it should be the opposite. I don't know if I'll be able to complete my task. What if everyone is successful but my failure ruins everything? I try to calm myself down until I finally fall asleep.

I wake up, the sun hasn't risen yet of course. I go into the living room and see my parents, they don't say anything but just come to hug me. "Be brave," my dad whispers in my ear. We walk to Johanna's office, their are suits that looked just as she described. My mom helps me put my gear on, then I grab a gun.

We all run to the train. We jump on, and ride without saying a word. We jump off a few blocks away from the wall. We run to the wall and see the night patrol, "We're here on business for Johanna," my dad tells them. "We know," they say, then open up the doors. We walk in silence through the Amity farms, all of us shaking with fear.

We approach the Bureau, "Here we go," my dad tells me.
