I drove Seth back to my house once we were done with our food. His grandparents and mom were just leaving when we got back. He thanked my parents for dinner before climbing into the backseat with his mom.
"Where did you go?" My mom asked, putting her arm around my shoulders as we watched them drive off.
"We tried to go to the party but the music was too loud for Bailey's so we went to Tim Hortons and just... Talked. It was really nice actually."
"What did you talk about?"
"He asked about me and Bailey... Why I went to Toronto... We didn't talk long enough for me to start asking questions though. He seems really guarded."
My mom nodded in agreement, "He does. I think it's because of what he's had to put up with."
"Yeah probably... I'm going to put Bailey to bed and then head to bed myself." She nodded and hugged me, kissing my head.
"Good night sweetheart."
"Night mom." I went upstairs and changed into an old tee-shirt and changed Bailey into a lighter one piece so she would sleep better, once I was finished I put her in her crib and rubbed her stomach softly.
"Good night baby... Mama loves you so much."

Around four in the morning I heard Jackie and Zach stumble in while I was in the study feeding Bailey,
"Really guys?" I asked, and Jackie giggled,
"It was soo much fun!" Zach laughed and tripped himself, trying to grab onto the wall to catch himself,
"Lets-" he stopped to hiccup, "Go to bed baby..."
Jackie nodded and walked with him, taking off her clothes as she made her way down the hallway, all the while Zac watched giggling like a school girl.
"They're not going to want to work tomorrow..." I whispered to Bailey as she ate. I watched my daughter slowly as she sucked hungrily on the bottle. She was my entire world, my only reason for existence. The thought of her growing up and not needing me one day scared me so much.
She finished eating and burped relatively quickly and we went back to bed, for a quick power nap before my alarm went off at six.
My phone was buzzing when the alarm went off, and the screen lit up letting me know I had a voice mail.
I checked it and smiled when I heard Hannah's cheery voice,
"Hey! I'm going to head into the bakery early today, I hope you don't mind but you need a break. Stay home with the little one and nap some and I guess maybe I'll see you later today or even tomorrow. Talk to ya soon!" I relaxed a little and quickly texted my mom letting her know that I was going to sleep in so she wouldn't try to wake me. When I checked on Bailey I saw she was still sleeping so I carefully picked her up and brought her into my bed with me, laying her down beside me and kissing head head, falling back asleep with Bailey in my arms.
When I got up it was almost ten and I couldn't remember the last time I slept in so late. Bailey was awake beside me and gently pawing at my face. Maybe that was why I was awake,
"Morning baby," I said softly and she grinned when she saw I was finally awake.
I carefully picked her up and walked downstairs and saw that the house was mostly empty. There was a note on the table,
Good morning honey! We're out at the job site looking over the details of your house! There's two breakfast burrito's for you in the fridge. Once you and my grandbaby have eaten head on out, your aunt and uncle need you to finalize some things!
Love, Mom
