"I really can't believe that your friends broke the China that has been in my family for years." I said softly, resting my head on Seth's chest the next morning.
"I know... I know. They offered to pay for it though," He whispered, rubbing my arm.
"I thought they couldn't afford to stay at a hotel room?"
He sighed, "They can't, but because it meant so much to you they will pay you back." I sighed, shifting to look up at him,
"Please tell them not to worry about it. I meant it when I said that it doesn't matter. No one got hurt and my children are fine." He smiled and kissed my forehead.
Last night just before we made it into our room we had gotten a phone call from Adam saying that Hannah had gone into labor, about three weeks earlier than expected. It was a girl, everything had gone well. They decided to name her Olivia, and they'd been sending us pictures periodically of Olivia and she was a beautiful mix between Hannah and Adam.
We laid there quietly and just stayed in a comfortable silence. It was hard to believe that in under two weeks I'd be married to the man of my dreams. Tomorrow we were throwing a birthday party for Bailey, we had everything planned out weeks ago and we were excited to be hosting it. Hannah and Adam were planning to stop by with Olivia, we couldn't wait to meet her.
Seeing as today was Mother's Day we couldn't wait to go over to Jackie's new place now that it was finished. Mom's gifts were already at Jackie's house, seeing as it would be almost one in the afternoon by the time we got back.
"Are you planning to see your Mom today?" I asked softly and he shrugged,
"I figured I'd be seeing her at the party tomorrow anyways." I sighed, now that I was a mother, not seeing my kids today would break my heart. I already missed them so much.
"Come on, let's get dressed so we can hit the road and get there earlier." I said, getting up and getting dressed. He followed, packing up our things before heading down to the lobby to check out. Jackie and Zach were right behind us,
"Happy Mother's Day!" I said, giving her a hug.
"Happy Mother's Day Charlie!" She said with a grin, "Did you guys have fun last night?" I couldn't help but grin,
"Of course. Did you?" She grinned right back and nodded.
"I have to pick something up on the way home for Mom, did you want to ride with me and Zach can ride with Seth?" I looked at Seth and he shrugged,
"Sure baby, we'll follow you." I smiled and kissed him and we went out to the parking lot to load the trucks and start driving,
"Hannah had the baby last night," I said, taking a sip of coffee once we were on the road,
"Really? What did they name her?"
"Olivia, she was small because she was three weeks early but she's healthy. They're hoping to stop by tomorrow to say hi at Bailey's birthday party." We chatted about a couple things, mainly about last night after the gala, and each other's man.
"So are you and Zach planning to have more kids?" Jackie nodded,
"Yeah, but we want to wait until Logan and Em are a bit older. I don't think I could handle raising three kids under the age of two." I grinned,
"I'm not that excited about it either but Daniel seems to be a pretty calm baby so I'm not too worried, and Bailey doesn't really fuss a whole lot either."
"Have you decided if you're going to tell Noah?"
I shook my head, "I decided that... Seth is a better Dad than Noah would be. And if Bailey wants to know when she's older than that's fine, but I don't want her to think that Seth loves her any less because she's not his biological child." Jackie smiled,
"Not that it's any of my business but I'm glad you chose not to tell him. I know that Dad said he should know but... I would never trust Noah alone with Bailey. Or any child for that matter." I grinned and turned up the music when our favourite song came on.
We stopped at the jewler in Mapleville and picked Mom a new necklace to go along with the other gifts we'd already gotten her, before continuing home. When we pulled up to Jackie's house Mom was already there with all of my babies, sitting outside on the front porch beside Bobby. His kids were also playing out front, and Travis was just walking over beside his fiancée, Riley. Her baby bump was now showing, and they'd announced last week at the family dinner that she was pregnant.
"Hey Mom!" Jackie and I exclaimed, getting out of the truck. We went over and both gave her a tight hug, Zach and Seth following, "Happy Mother's Day!"
"Oh thank you," She said, with tears in her eyes. I couldn't help but hug her again, knowing this year was going to be hard on her without Dad by her side. She rubbed my back, before letting me go when Bailey came over giggling, but Seth got her first and hugged her tightly, throwing her up in the air. She squealed loudly and gave him a big kiss on the cheek. I grinned and picked the twins up, giving them both kisses. Daniel squealed and Gabriel tried to push my head away, and I couldn't help but laugh. These two would definitely be a handful.
A couple hours later we started opening gifts, all of us pitched in to get Mom a new horse, as she lost her horse almost two years ago and hadn't gotten the chance to find a new one. Seth and I got her a new smartphone and camera, and Jackie and Zach got her a new MacBook so it was easier for her to FaceTime with us.
Seth and the kids apparently had done a bunch of Mother's Day crafts while I was at work, with the kids hand prints and Bailey had made me a picture. And then from all of them there was a necklace with everyone's birthstone. It was gorgeous, and perfect.
Zach had also done the crafts with his kids and got Jackie a new bracelet, and each charm had a picture of Jackie, Zach, and the kids on them.
By the time we got home that night we were exhausted, but the wedding was now barely two weeks away and I couldn't wait.
