"Get behind me!" Seth ordered, carefully putting me behind him, unlocking the door and running outside to see if he saw anyone.
"Charlie do you have camera's running all the time?" He asked, coming back in. I nodded and he locked the bakery door again, although that wasn't going to do anything with the front window completely smashed, "I'll call the Sheriff, you find the footage from today."
The footage constantly ran and went to my laptop, so I went into the office and brought it up on the laptop. Zach's Dad and Nick showed up rather quickly, and Seth unlocked the door,
"What happened?" Zach's Dad asked, and I walked out holding my laptop,
"We were having dinner in the office and then we heard a smash, and we came out to see the front window just like this... And the brick on the floor."
"Neither of you touched anything right?" Nick asked, taking out a phone to take pictures,
"No sir," Seth said, and Nick nodded,
"You have your security footage running, right Charlie?" Mr. Myers asked me and I handed him my laptop. He put it on the counter and watched it, Nick watching over his shoulder.
"We'll have to bring this into the station to analyze it further," Mr. Myers noted. I nodded,
"Okay, you can bring my laptop with you."
He stood up straight and looked over at me, placing a hand on my shoulder,
"Are you alright Charlie?"
"Yeah... I mean we were in the office and... Seth made me stay inside while he went and checked outside."
"Did you see anyone?" Nick asked and Seth sighed,
"Someone in a black hoodie running, but they were already at the end of the street rounding the corner." Nick sighed,
"Hopefully we can find a frame with his face in view. I'll dust for finger prints." He went over and took a pouch out of his pants and I called Uncle Joe,
"Hey pumpkin, what's going on?" He asked, and I was thankful he was still awake,
"Hi Uncle Joe... Someone broke the front window at the bakery."
"Are you okay?" He asked, and I could tell by his voice he was worried and protective,
"Yeah I'm okay, I was with Seth when it happened, the Sheriff and Nick are here investigating."
"I should still have the spare window in the garage, let me check. Talk to your Aunt for a minutes kiddo,"
"Charlie? Are you alright?" Aunt Margaret asked,
"Yeah, I'm okay Aunt Margaret. Please don't tell Mom and Dad okay? I don't want them to worry." I saw a car pull up and I sighed,
"I guess they're already here."
"Charlie? Seth? Are you okay?" Mom said, running in carefully, avoiding the glass. Dad followed close behind and I hugged her,
"Mom it's just a broken window, we're okay." I said, before I heard Uncle Joe call me back,
"Hey, so I've got the window, let me talk to your dad."
They chatted quickly before Dad hung up, looking at Mr. Myers, "Is it alright if Joe comes and installs the new window?"
The Sheriff nodded, "For sure. I'll have Nick stick around to make sure who ever did this doesn't come back." Nick nodded and Uncle Joe pulled up with his truck, getting his tools out to start installing the window. Seth walked over and started helping him, and I was impressed that he asked my Uncle what he needed help with. Mom wrapped her arm around me,
