A couple of months went by and it felt like a mad rush. I was now nineteen weeks pregnant and already showing because we were having twins! When we saw Jana the week following our pregnancy announcement she was excited to show us two masses on the screen. During that appointment I cried, Seth was holding my hand very tightly the whole time and he even cried too.
After the announcement we made to the family Dad and Uncle Hank started ragging on Seth and trying to intimidate him. Seth took it quietly, their threats were empty and we all knew that. Mom knew that Seth was a man and Seth assured everyone (including me) that he wasn't leaving me ever, especially now that I was pregnant with his children.
"I understand you are worried that I will run from commitment and from Charlie, but frankly I love her and she's teaching me how to be a committed man. I want to marry Charlie and for me it's not a matter of 'if', it's a matter of when. Charlie means the absolute world to me and I love Bailey as if she were my own. I will never treat her any different than I would my own child."
Of course my heart warmed and I felt very bubbly and in love. My family was ecstatic that I was pregnant again, but regardless of being pregnant with twins I decided to kick opening the new bakery in Sprucebridge into high gear.
Seth and I were staying in a hotel close to where the bakery was now that renovations were almost complete and we were starting to design it. Maverick and Goose were also staying with us in the hotel and Mom and Dad had graciously offered to pay for our stay. Thankfully when they booked our room they booked us a hotel room that had three separate areas. One was the bedroom, we used what would have been an office or sitting area as Bailey's room, and the main room where all the kitchen supplies were, as well as the television and the bathroom.
As soon as Uncle Joe and Aunt Margaret were finished here they would be heading back to Willowhurst to begin the renovations on Seth's restaurant. While we were having dinner with Aunt Margaret and Uncle Joe they suggested an idea to us that was at first a long shot but the more we thought about it the better it began to sound.
Today I dressed in a white and red maternity dress with sandals as it was finally starting to get warmer out and I dressed Bailey in a jean dress with a red shirt on underneath and Seth wore a green plaid shirt with a white tee underneath and light washed jeans.
"Should we call room service for breakfast?" Seth asked, half buttoning his shirt up.
"I guess, I don't really feel like cooking." I said, still lying on the bed. Living in a hotel makes me feel like absolute crap, like all the time. I could see how a lot of people go insane living hotel to hotel.
Seth came in and sat on the side of the bed, "Don't get me wrong baby, you look beautiful being pregnant... But you look like crap."
"I feel it too. I wanna go home and sleep in our bed and sit on our couch and smell our homey smell."
"I know baby... Only a few more weeks and then we'll be home."
"I want it now," I whined, smooshing my face into a pillow more. He sighed and rubbed my back looking beside me to make sure Bailey was safe in her spot on the bed.
"We promised Uncle Joe that we'd be there early today... Why don't you stay here and nap, okay?" As much as I didn't want to stay at home the day we were starting the design o the bakery I wanted to sleep, so I nodded and Seth undressed me and tucked me in, bringing his pillow over and placing it under my head. He also grabbed one of his sweaters and placed it close to me and I immediately grabbed it close to me. Seth kissed my head and picked Bailey up,
"Let's wave bye bye to Mama!" He said, and Bailey squealed, opening and closing her hand and blowing me a kiss,
I grinned and blowed her a kiss back and Seth left with Bailey on his hip and the diaper bag on his shoulder. I trusted him and Uncle Joe and Aunt Margaret to make the right decisions.
The next time I woke up it felt like someone was dressing me. To be honest sleeping in the hotel bed has made me exhausted, regardless of the fact that I slept for eight hours.
"Come on sweetie..." He whispered, helping me up. I'm not even sure how I made it out to the car, or where we ended up going. Even being in the truck felt much better to sleep in.
The next thing I knew I woke up what felt like days later in a familiar feeling that I'd been missing so much. Seth was asleep beside me and I immediately recognized our room, I felt the soft pillows and the nice bed, with my favorite bed sheets.
Seth woke up immediately and smiled when he saw me,
"I was worried you weren't gonna wake up," He said with a smirk. I smiled and leaned to rest my head on his chest,
"What happened?" I asked and he kissed my temple,
"Aunt Margaret assured me she still had the designs from the bakery here and Uncle Joe just had to finish installing the ovens and the refrigeration guys were coming in tomorrow... So when I suggested bringing you home until the opening... They were actually going to suggest the same thing. They see you as their own daughters and honestly I wouldn't trust anyone else with the bakery."
I kissed him, "You are perfect."
"No, you are." He whispered.
