Animé characters before looks like the human version of Slenderman tbh.
Is everyone predecessors of Luffy or something???
Like, whoa, man those hands could be used a bridge from one end to the other.
If my hands were that long, i'd most definitely use them to bitchslap the nearest bitch possible
But as time passed and designers realized more and more that they're producing sketches of elongated stickmen, animé character's body measurements has finally become realistic.
Just kidding
Because as you've noticed, as the waist and arms got shorter, the opposite thing goes with their boobs
These days you either have watermelons or half an orange hanging in ur chest there is no in between.
Imagine the old anime in real life tho. You walk down the busy streets and suddeNLY YOU REALIZE EVERYONE HAS HANDS TWICE LONGER THAN IT SHOULD BE AND UR JUST LEFT THERE LIKE
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I'm so glad at how much anime art has improved. Some, who are unable to take change, state that the productions in the past (specifically the 70s - 90s) are superior to what they are today.
Personally, I think they're both right AND wrong. I'll breakdown the variables as to why I am saying this.
1. Uniqueness of the characters
Okay so back in the days, things were more simple. Which is a good thing, I guess, because nowadays everyone is literally bipolar.
First she's mean then she's sweet then she's back as the spawn of Satan. Or first she's really nice and seemingly innocent bUT WHEN YOU TURN AROUND SHE IS SUDDENLY SLAUGHTERING EVERYONE THAT DISPLEASES HER LIKE DAYUM GIRL R U ON UR PERIOD??? At first she's cold-hearted and says the rudest shit then a moment later she'll be so kind that you'd doubt her existence as a human and not as the next holy virgin Mary.
you get me guys?
The personalities of characters these days have become unstably complex but not in a realistic manner. In a way that we can't relate anymore.
I mean I do understand how Yanderes feel because sometimes I want to kill people too but that doesn't mean I'll just murder people without feeling guilt or fear of the law
*Old man voice* Back in the days we used to connect to how the characters feel because their attitudes were simple and not a motherfucking equation to solve. :(
On the other hand, there has become a wider range in personalities. Character traits that weren't as used before has now become popular (such as being perverted, having two different eye colors, getting a mixture of two or more different hair colors etc.) and because of this, the ideas are fresh and exciting to us.
2. The Plots
Explain the plot of Evangelion I fucking dare you
These days, there are two types of plots
1. Completely unpredictable and really fun with original ideas
2. DOES NOT MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE I AM LOST WHAT IS THIS
There is a huge gap between having the watchers curious upon what happens next and making them completely confused as to what is going on because your plot is far from what its original purpose was
Like at first you were aiming to be the very best at something so as time passes you meet enemies that are actually giving you a hard time. THEN SUDDENLY YOU'RE HAVING AN ALL OUT WAR WITH DEMONS AND ANGELS AND YOU NEED TO SAVE THE EARTH FROM TOTAL DESTRUCTION.

YOU ARE READING
FUCK YOU, THIS IS ANIME
LosoweMainly, this book is just about me ranting about the goods and bads of different animés, cussing and insulting shit, but you'll get used to it. Also, as you can see from the title, this thing's loaded with bad words so don't you dare go reading it t...
