I've seen your face in another light

Jody's POV

"Ssshhh, shut the fuck up, Tino! You'll wake her up!" I heard a voice hiss from the front. I turned around in the bunk so I was lying on my back. Then I heard the bus door open, steps and then the door being closed. Carefully I opened the curtain and poked my head outside. No one seemed to be here anymore. I climbed out the bunk, took my clothes and went into the bathroom to get changed. After I did that and washed my face, I left the bathroom and immediately bumbed into someone.

"Oh shit, sorry" the person mumbled and backed off. I haven't noticed that someone entered the bus again.

"No, I'm sorry" I said and looked up to the person I was talking to. Ginger hair and a nose ring; it was Alan.

"Hey, you're the girl from yesterday! I'm Alan by the way, Of Mice & Men's guitarist" he introduced himself. Psh, of course I know who you are. It's not like I'm a fan of your band.

"I'm Jody and I'm Vic's...something..." I intoduced myself but trailed off. Alan raised an eyebrow and looked down at me.

"Vic's something?" he questioned and I shrugged.

"I don't know anymore what I am for him" I shortly explained and looked down.

"Okay, alright. I have to leave now because we're playing a show in some minutes. You can watch us if you want and if you want to talk about what happened yesterday, you can always talk to me and I bet the same is also for Austin" he told and smiled at me.

"Thank you so much, you guys are amazing" I thanked him and smiled at him. And it wasn't even a fake smile. I was glad that there were at least two people who would always listen to me. Well, I know that Mike, Tony and Jaime are always here for me, too but where ever they are, Vic is with them. See the problem? I still haven't figured out how I'll do that thing with Cassie. She's arriving here in some hours and we need to stay somewhere. Maybe I could stay another night here but I don't think that the same is for Cassie.

"Okay, so see you around, Vic's something" Alan said, waved and left the bus. Just now I wanted to text Cassie and ask her when exactly she's coming but then I noticed that I left my phone in Pierce The Veil's bus. Great job, Jody! Seriously, where have I put my brain?! I mentally punched myself and then left the bus. The sun was already shining pretty bright so I guessed that it already was afternoon. We were now at the next venue, which was Corfu, New York. I walked to the show scedule to look when PTV is playing so I could sneak into the bus then and take my phone. Luckily they were playing right now. I walked away from the scedule and walked to PTV's bus. When I reached it, I knocked on the door to confirm that really no one was there. The door didn't open but it was locked. Good I knew where they put the second key in case someone forgets their's in the bus. I unlocked the door and walked inside. Maybe a minute I searched for my phone until I found it in the back. I put it in my pocket, left the bus and locked it again. After I put the key back on its place, I checked my phone. I had 15 missed calls. 9 were from Vic (I guess he didn't notice that it was in the back) and the last 6 were from Cassie. I had no idea why she should call me this much, so I dialed her number.

"Hello?" She answered on the other line.

"6 missed calls? Seriously?" I asked and leaned against the bus.

"I'm so sorry! But my flight got cancelled last minute and the next one is just in 3 days so I'll have to meet you guys in Camden which means that I can just stay one day with you" she explained. If I'm honest, I was relieved that her flight was cancelled. It's not because of her, it's because of this whole situation.

"It's totally okay, don't worry" I answered and tried not to sound too happy.

"Really? You're not mad?"
