Fragile scales (Aquariumstuck Erisol!)

Dark Part 7

Eridan lay there in the dark. His eyes fluttered open as he began looking around frantically and pulling on his restraints. Medical supplies went flying as his tail flapped wildly in the air until finally he gathered the strength to chew through one of the restraints around his arm and tore the other loose slipping it off his hand. He turned over plopping down onto the tile. The clash of metal bowls filled with water falling with him echoed throughout the room,one pouring water all over his head. His now drenched hair hung down in his face blinding him as he crawled on the ground. Thoughts began to swim around in his head rendering him to become dizzy and confused. Thoughts like 'where am I?' And 'did they kidnap me?'. A light right above him switched on as he turned over once again. He hissed as it blinded him,burning his eyes he fought violently to turn away again. Once done all he could see were small black spots that began fading his vision. His breath became faint and his consciousness was slipping away,his hands shook as he desperately tried to crawl once more until he fell limp. His breath came out huskily and faint. He was running a terrible fever. He completely blacked out from the heat.

A few hours later Psionics entered the room to find the poor limp seadweller on the floor,the cold tile being the only thing helping his situation. Psi imediatly called for help. Kanaya,Kankri,and Dolorosa all rushed in lifting him onto the table. Kanaya filled a bath with cold water while Dolorosa held a cold towel over his head. Kankri gathered medical supplies along with Psi. Once the bath was ready Kankri and Psi tried lowering him into the tub no matter how badly their hands were being burnt by his steaming hot skin. They could only hope the cold water would do the trick. Kanaya stared sorrowfully down at the unconscious seadweller, his face was a rich purple that soon faded as he cooled down. They carefully watched over him.

As soon as Sollux entered the Aquarium he was dragged to the infirmary by Kanaya. "KN what2 wron-" "I'll Explain When We Get There." She pushed open the door releasing Sollux's hand to rush to the seadweller wiping the sweat from his forehead. "KN." "We Found Him On The Floor This Morning Running A Deadly Fever." Those words sent Sollux running to Eridan's side.
"Sollux,We Both Know What Could Have Happened If We Hadn't Come When We Did,Seadweller's Aren't Fit For Handling High Temperatures." "He Could Have Died As Far As We Know." "All We Can Do Now Is Pray This'll Work,He's Unable To Handle Surgery As Of Now,Even If He Desperately Needs It,It Could Kill Him,He's Too Weak." "The Heat Could Have Caused Internal Damage To His Organs,But That's All We Know." "Anything Now May Be Beyond Our Ability." "It Could Be Too Late."

Tears streamed down his cheeks as those single words slipped from her lips, trickling down into the icy water. He shuddered,his lips quivered. Kanaya stood up and walked away. Sollux brought a hand to the seadweller's face,lightly caressing his lightly violet tinted cheeks. Another tear cascaded down his face dropping down into the icy water. Suddenly,Eridan's eyes fluttered open. He sleepily looked over at Sollux cracking a dopey smile. Sollux's eyes widened then softened at his smile as more tears began to pool his eyes. Eridan lifted a shaky hand and pressed Sollux's to his cheek. Sollux tried his best to crack a smile as well,only it faded into a frown as he sobbed. He felt an extremely painful ache in his chest as he stared down at Eridan,it was hard to look at him this way. Eridan's eyes closed once again and his grip on Sollux's hand went limp as he floated in the water. His breath became a bit stronger as Sollux pulled his hand back,he then covered his face with both hands and sobbed.

Karkat sat by him and swung an arm around him forcing him into an embrace. (Any SolKar fans?) Sollux cried into his shoulder. Both Eridan and Feferi were people Sollux held very dear to his heart,it would break him to see one of them go. He coudlnt imagine his life without them. Eridan always seemed like a person he'd always want to keep wrapped in his arms,but Feferi just seemed like a good friend. Both were dear,and precious to him. He'd die before letting either of them go.

He calmed down and sat there guarding Eridan's sleeping form. Not even bothering to sleep ,he stayed up all night constantly making himself cups of coffee. His breath smelled like a café. Eridan would move around in the water,calmly sleeping. Faint ripples or splashes could be heard at he shuffled around in the water.

Also,I hope this wasn't too short. I put some SolKar in here for whoever. Also,one more thing,I'm gonna be getting a drawing tablet soon so maybe I'll do some art for the chapters. Mwuahahahahaha! >:3 )
