Chapter 11 Spiders

Eridan slept peacefully in his tank. The relaxing sound of the water moving swiftly created a melody sweeter than anything he'd ever heard. Abruptly, the melody had been interrupted by something being dropped in his tank. And by the sound of the splash,it was heavy. Be lifted his head up,looking around his tank. "Hello." A shadow casted over him. He whipped around and suddenly wished he hadn't. Vriska,the sea spider.
"Eridan,Meet Your Temporary,Tank Mate? I Suppose That's A Word For It."

"I'm taking this side of the tank." She pointed at where Eridan had been resting.
"The hell you are,that's my side,and I wwas here before you." He crossed his arms like a child. She smirked,moving towards him,she grabbed hold of his arm digging her claws into his soft feather-like skin. "Do you know who I am?" Digging her nails deeper,he tried pulling away,she only cut deeper. "Move again and see what happens." She narrowed her eyes,practically staring into his soul. "You will address me as Master now." As soon as she finished that very sentence,he ripped his arm from her grasp leaving a long line of scratch marks. He bit her arm and swam off. Avoiding her as much as possible he let her have his side of the tank,in exchange for leaving him alone.
He fell into a light slumber,continuing his afternoon nap. "ED!" "*groan*"

Apparently privacy has no meaning in this place,according to Eridan. His eyes fluttered open,his body floating from the sand. He swam to the front of the tank to see a very disappointed Sollux. "Why diid you biite Vrii2ka?" He was now giving him that look that made Eridan feel like a guilty three year old who stole cookies from the cookie jar. Y'know,where he raises one eyebrow and crosses his arms while tapping his foot on the ground. Poor Eri. "Because sh-!" "No,don't even bother with an excu2e." Eridan went to show the scratch marks she'd left,but he only shushed him again. Sollux did this to teach them,he knew they hated when he treated them like children,and it seemed to be pretty affective seeing as Eridan was pissed. "II expected better from you ED,but thii2 ii2 unacceptable." He growled at Sollux. "NO ATTITUDE!" he scolded Eridan who had swam off angrily. Sollux went to help Kanaya tend to Vriska. "Vrii2ka,IIm 2orry. Would you liike to be moved iinto another tank?" Vriska raised her head in "pain". "No,I think I can forgive him." Sollux gave her a calm smile. "Ok,let me know iif thii2 happen2 agaiin." "Will do."

Vriska had been all patched up and was back in the tank. "Eriiiiiiiidan~" She found the mertroll pouting in the corner. " 'Oh no! Eridan bit me! I'm bleeding!' "
She teased. "See? I can get whatever I want because of that human,Sollux was it? He pities me." "I hate you."
He growled,rage in his voice. "Awwwwww,is the little baby gonna bite me again?" She chuckled.
"You like that pathetic human,don't you?" Violet rushing to his cheeks,he quickly turned away.
"Oh my God,you do!" "Well I guess it's all the more reason to make your life a living hell."
Eridan spun around,grabbing her hair. "If you so much as lay a hand on Sol,I wwill rip you limb from limb until you are nothing but a headless harlot." He released her.

"Did you just call me a whore?" He was silent,staring daggers at her. "Oh hell no!" She lunged at him,scratching,biting,punching. The water had become a mixture of violet and cerulean. She pounced on him one final time,the back of his head colliding with the coral rocks. She wipped the blood from her nose watching it fade into the water. "Hey.......Eridork." No response. He floated limply in the water,slowly rising to the top of the tank. Great. What now? Violet emanating from the back of his skull. His eyes fluttered open,he swam around in circles for a few minutes and then looked down at her.
"Heeeey VVris,wwhy are you all the wway dowwn there?" He sounded drunken. She was no fool,it was obviously blood loss.
