"Okay," Callie said nodding after I told her everything that happened. "So like this stupid rich kid named Reese? He was cheating on you? And you dumped his sorry ass without saying shit else?" I nodded and laughed at her cheerful tone. "Nicely done Ri, nicely done."

"Thanks," I replied, still giggling. So, I admit, I'm a little hyper. We've been getting ready for my welcome back party. Apparently a lot of people are happy I'm back and Callie decided to throw a party for me, which I have to attend. I mean, it's not like i'd be going anywhere else. All my old friends are going to be at Callie's

"Now, Riley, I know you've always been daring with your look, but you really need to have soft curls and and sun dress. You'd look super cute!" She chastised. "Or, straight hair and a more daring dress. If your looking to be sexy."

I smiled at her usual demands. She always wants me looking good, no matter what. But she also always tries making me wear dresses. Callie is a firm believer in dressing the nicest when your heart is in the dirt. She says it's supposed to fuel the attitude to help you get a new boy toy. But I seriously hate dresses and wearing my hair curled. So I negotiated. "I'll straighten it and wear shorts and a silver low cut tank top. You know I hate dresses."

"Oh, fine." She said throwing her hands up in defeat. "At least let me do your makeup for you!"

"Fine," I said chuckling. "Just don't make me look like a hoe!"

"Ha! Like I'd ever do that to my bestie?" She said laughing. "Come here, I'll do some light work and see if you approve."

I walked over to Callie's vanity and sat down glumly. I glanced down at my phone, hoping for a text from Ryan or Blaze, but there was nothing. There's been nothing since I left. Callie rolled her eyes and plucked the phone out of my hands easily. "I don't see why your so obsessed with your phone now. Seriously, I thought you hated living in England! Who could you possibly be waiting for a text from? I doubt anyone even notices your-"

"There was a couple of people-" I started, trying to explain myself. Which was useless. Whenever you get Callie going on something, she almost never shuts up! I mean, I love the girl, but I seriously don't understand how someone can talk that much!

"Shush. They're not important right now. You can have your phone back later. Right now I have to tell you about the two newest kids!" She exclaimed as she set to work on my makeup. "So, there's like this super chill girl, blond hair, fairly short, but like super smart. Her name is Aubrey Marshall. I have, like, three classes with her. She's a senior as well. But that doesn't matter right now. You'll meet her later at the party. The guy, though. OMG! His name is Sage Wallis. He is, like, really tall, like almost six foot! He has dirty blond hair and I swear the most amazing blue eyes you've ever seen! You can get lost in those eyes! He plays on the football team, although I don't remember what position, but that doesn't matter. He's number 89, and already a starter! Can you believe that? OMG! He seen a picture of you in the yearbook and said he thought you were, like, super cute!"

"No way!" I said, trying to be cheerful for her. I know she wants to hook me up with him, but after Reese I'm not sure if I want to be in another relationship just yet. Plus, it sounds like she might be into him. "Is he going to be at the party?"

"Of course! He said he wouldn't miss it for the world!"

I sighed and waited for her to finish my makeup. "Is that why you want me to look hot?"

"Nah, not really. I mean it's part of it, but it's your first night back really, and you know you wanna make a splash!" She said. I'm honestly surprised she didn't start one of her usual rants, but I'm glad. Sometimes she goes off the deep end whenever she goes off like that. Callie usual forgets what she's going on about then starts going on about forgetting what she was talking about. That's just the kind of person she is.
