Chapter 1: What do you mean I'm going to boarding school in England?!

"Riley! Can you come downstairs for a moment?" I barely heard my mother call over the music I was blaring in my room. I was pissed off and devastated, my boyfriend. Brandon Clarke, just dumped me through text with no explanation whatsoever. You just don't do that to a girl.

"Coming!" I yelled back. I hit the pause button on my stereo. I glanced in the mirror and smile at my reflection. Being born as an Anderson, I was blessed with bright blue eyes, chocolate hair with honey blond highlights, and high cheekbones. I'm pretty short in stature, only reaching five foot two inches. But that's fine with me, because I was also gifted with a nice sized chest that makes most of the boys at my current school drool.

After pulling my gaze from the mirror I ran down the stairs to see what my parents want. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I noticed two things. My parents were holding a letter and their faces were grave and nervous.

At my entrance, they both looked up at me. "Why don't you take a seat Riley?" My mother suggested in her honey sweet voice. Her hair is long and blond with eyes just like mine. My father has dark brown hair and very tall.

Nervously, I took a seat in the chair facing them. "What's going on?" I asked trying to keep my voice calm.

"Well, honey, your father and I have been given a new job with better pay," my mom stated. Which confused me. If they got a better job, then why are they so.... Grave?

"That's great mom," I said with a smile.

"Well, it means we have to move." She said biting her lip nervously and glancing at my father.

"To Europe," my father said. "You will be going to a boarding school in England since your mother and I won't be around as much."

"What do you mean I'm going to go the boarding school in England?" I demanded. What about my social status here? What about all my friends? They're nothing without me here!

"You're going to go to school there. Like it or not missy," my father stated, anger hinted in his voice. The voice that always means I'm going to be in some sort of trouble if I don't comply.

"But I love life here!" I whined momentarily forgetting about my recent breakup.

"No buts, you're going," My mother said this time. I realized I was fighting a losing argument and trudged upstairs. "You better get packed! You leave in a week!" she called after me.

Just a week? Seriously! A week? They can't expect me to be ready to move to England in only a week! With this new information, I whipped out my cell phone and sent a quick text to my best friend, Callie.

Text to Callie: SOS get to my house ASAP!!!

Her reply was instant.

Text from Callie: Be there in 10

I sighed throwing my phone on my pillow then fell on my bed right next to it. Memories of sitting on the beach with Callie and Brandon flashed through my mind, followed by me and Callie laughing at the mall with Jen. I can't believe my parents are just going to uproot me like this!
