Jade's POV:
The boys and I had been working hard on our projects for a little over an hour now. We had all decided that it might be fun if we take our favorite childhood song, our favorite nursery rhyme, and our favorite story from our childhood and translate them from our language into Korean as our first group project. Then just for fun we decided to make a game of it just because we were curious to see if people could figure out who's project was whose. We decided to have Mark, Jackson, and Jin read/recite/Sing them out loud and then we would have to guess whose project is whose. I was actually really happy to be doing this for our first project together, because I thought it would be a fun way for us to get to know each other a little better. Plus since these guys are all musicians and thereby creative people by nature themselves, I thought it would be the perfect project for them. I had actually just finished translating my favorite childhood story "You are Special" by Max Lucado.
It was a cute little story about these little wooden people called Wemmicks, who lived in this little wooden village, and they were all made by this old woodcarver named Eli. Each Wemmick Eli made was diffrent, some were tall, and some were short, some were thin, and some were round, some were very plain, and some were really flashy, yet all were very special in Eli's eyes.
Mark: ........Yet all day long the Wemmicks would go around, and give each other stickers. If you were a newer Wemmick with a fresh coat of paint, and pretty features, or you were particular talented then you would be given a golden star sticker for being so beauitful and Talented. But if you were an older Wemmick, with faded paint, and chips in your wood, or you weren't really that talented then you would be given a gray dot sticker for being so ugly and unattractive. Of Course naturally the Wemmicks who would receive a star sticker would feel so happy, while those who didn't would feel really sad. So all day long the Wemmicks would walk around judging each other and giving out their stickers. Some Wemmicks were covered in stars, while others were covered in dots. Punchinello was one such Wemmick. Poor Punchinello was covered in dots. But it wasn't like he didn't try to earn stars, it's just whenever he did try, he wasn't able to succeed. So his fellow Wemmicks would give him a dot, and eventually Punchinello ended up covered in so many dots, that some of the Wemmicks just began giving him dots for no reason at all. Saying to themselves that he must deserve lots of dots, since he already has so many of them. So Eventually poor Punchinello began to hide himself away for fear of getting anymore dots, he was so scared that he barely left his house and when he did go out, he did his best to surround himself with other Wemmicks who had lots of dots so as not to attract attenion. Then one day while Punchinello was out and about and he saw a Wemmick who was like any other Wemmick he had ever seen, Her name was Lucia. Lucia was a Wemmicks just like everyone else, but Lucia, had no stickers, though not for lack of trying. Many Wemmicks who admired Lucia for her clean sticker free attire, tried to give her star stickers, while others judged her for not having any stars, and so they tried to give her dots. But no matter what they tried, none of their stickers would stick. Punchinello seeing this decided that, this is how he wanted to be too, so he asked Lucia how she did it, and Lucia said it was easy. All you have to do is go see the old wood carver on the top of the hill. Lucia said she went there everyday and that Punchillo should go there too. At first Punchinello was reluctant to go. He was sure that the wood carver wouldn't want to see him, but then he decided that he was so desperate that he had no choice but to go. So punchinello went up the hill to see the old wood carver, and when he arrived the wood carver was there and he received Punchinello warmly as he greeted him by name. Punchinello surprised by this and asked the old wood caver "you know my name?" he said in surprise. "Of course I know your name Puncinillo, I made you." said the old woodcaver. "I made you and to me you are very special" said the wood carver. But Punchinello frowned. "But if I am so special then how come I have so many dots stuck to me?" He questioned sadly and the old wood caver smiled at him slightly and said. "it's because you let them stick Punchinello, those stickers are made by man, and will only stick if you let them. "But me, I made you all, and I don't care about those stickers marking your body right now, and you shouldn't either Punchinello. I am telling you right now, that you are special and worth being loved, which is why I made you Punchinello, and I don't make mistakes. You have a lot of stickers Punchinello, but if you trust in me and believe in yourself and stop caring about those stickers and what the other Wemmicks think, then you too can become clean and stickerfree like Lucia." he said with a smile, "you know what, why don't you come see me again tomorrow" said the old wood carver, as he placed punchinello back on the ground, "and I will show you why, you are so special to me" he said and Punchinello nodded, and smiled as he thought to himself, "maybe he is right, maybe what the old woodcarver said is true, and I really am special to him after all." and as he thought this Punchello's first gray dot fell to the ground, and was no longer stuck to the small little Wemmicks body....*Mark finished reading* Sooooo? *he asked as all the guys sat there and stared at him and I did my best to hide my smile* Whose story is it? *he asked and no one spoke for a couple of minutes*
