Still Jade's point of view:
A few days later I found myself on a sudden shopping trip with my new friends from BLACKPINK at a nearby mall. We strolled around the huge shopping center in or various disguises while searching the various stores looking for outfits to wear for Kcon LA. That's right, they were coming too, and what made it even more exciting is that I had recently found out that not only was BTS going to Kcon, but so were my friends from Got7, Up10tion, Astro, SF9, NCT127, Pentagon, and Black Pink, which made me super happy. I had also learned that they would actually be joined by two other of the most popular girl groups in Korea right now, twice, and Sistar, along with another new male idol group WANNA ONE, whose members were all supposedly around my age, if not a little older, but whom had only recently been formed into a group through a live television elimination show called Produce 101. Which is apparently in its second season, and this season was all about the boys from different entertainment companies coming together to compete, so that They could form one super idol group, that will tour Korea and possibly other nearby countries for the next year, as they promoted themselves as South Korea's ultimate idol group. So although I wasn't really familiar with the program, I was interested to see South Korea's new super group in action. But honestly if you asked me the whole produce101/ WANNA ONE thing sounded really confusing and complicated to me, because even though the boys were all in one group, they all still remain a part of their own independent entertainment companies, as well as their previous groups. Which was kind of confusing, but whatever. I was actually quite curious about them because none of them had come to our school yet so I wondered if they would transfer there now that they were officially idols, or would they choose to stay at their own school, or did they even live in our building, or together for that matter? I kind of assumed that they lived in the same building as us though, or at least they would now that they have made their official debut because it is where all the idols seemed to reside. So I was sure I would meet them eventually one way or another, so it might as well be on tour with my brothers. Which just FYI starts right after Kcon, with a show in Anaheim, Ca. So anyway back to what I was saying about WANNA ONE I guess I am happy that they were able to pursue their dreams and what not, but I just didn't understand what happens to them when the tour was over and their one year contract was up. Did they all just go back to their own companies, and forget about Idol life, and each other. Because I mean it just doesn't seem fair, that they would have to work so hard just to debut for one year so then what happens to them later. What happens to them after the tour is over, and WANNA ONE breaks up? nobody really seems to know, and guess that's the part that made me kind of sad. Because honestly it sounds like these guys all worked super hard just to make their debut. So it's not really fair that they should only get a year of living their dream, before going back to the shadows, and becoming regular old Trainees again. But hey I guess that's life. I mean even the groups that make their debut through the normal route, may only get a year, cause if for some reason the public doesn't take kindly to their music, it may. E hard for them to have a comeback. After all the entertainment business is still a business, so if the group doesn't make the company some money, then said group doesn't get to come back, as it will be considered a drain on company resources. As harsh as it is, it is just that simple, and as cruel as that sounds, that is just the way it goes. I mean from a business stand point it can't be easy feeding and housing so many idols, not to mention the money spent on studio fees, and recording times, and choreographers, and vocal trainers, and mv recordings not to mention tour and venue costs. They is a lot that goes in to financing a new kpop group, and it comes with a lot of risk. But you know they say high risk, high reward. So anyway like I said as much as I found the debut of a idol group like WANNNA ONE super confusing. I was looking forward to meeting them, as well as the members of Twice, and Sistar, along with the rest of my classmates other group mates whom I still hadn't had the chance to meet. I was also excited about the tour, because it sounded like a great way to meet new friends and meet more people in Korea, as well as get closer to the friends I had already made, as well as allow me to bond with some of my other classmates as well. Although honestly I was also a little excited to be going home, even though I was still reeling from my break up with my ex and I hadn't really talk to my friends in the past few weeks, because of all of the drama that went down. So there really wasnt much waiting for me back in LA I was still eager to go back home and visit some other friends from school and my old church, as well as just go by and visit my moms ashes. I really missed her and I was hoping that while I was in LA that I could sneak away and go visit her for awhile. But they was other things I missed about LA too, like the food for one, and the beach, and well pretty much everything if we are being honest, But anyway lets put all that aside for now, because honestly today I was having to much fun to bum myself out with thing like missing home. Anyway enough of the inner monologue stuff back to reality. I am currently walking around the mall with my friends from Black Pink in search of the perfect street outfits to wear during our down time in LA. I having been raised in LA, knew more about LA fashion, while the girls have never been there. So they had decided to drag me along to go shopping with them, so that I could help them pick out the right out kind of look to help them fit in with the LA crowd. So while I normally didn't like shopping that much, I was actually having a blast today, because the girls are making it super fun. The girls kept goofing around while trying on outfits, and would play like they were super models and walk along the imaginary catwalk, while I and the others pretended to be the paparazzi and attempted it take imaginary pictures, and conduct fake interviews, which all turned out pretty hilarious as they were asking each other the most ridiculous questions. We even played games like who could find the ugliest outfit, and took turn find tacky outfits for each other to try on, and then we would take silly selfie pictures with each other dressed as fashion terrorist. But although we were all having a lot of fun goofing around, we did manage to find some really cute stuff to wear as well.
PLO Jennie got this cute pink corduroy skirt, with these adorable white buttons and a nice blue button up collared shirt (see pic below)
