CHAPTER 6

Dean's POV

I liked this Juniper kid. She seemed like a smart girl, and even though I hadn't seen her in action, I could almost bet that she was a good hunter. You don't survive nine years of hunting without either some quality skill or a hell of a lot of luck.

She had an Impala, that was one of the great parts. And she was committed to hunting, I could already tell.

I pulled my phone out to call Sam again, pushing away my thoughts of the new girl. While trying to keep my eyes on the road, I dialed Sam's number.

"What's up Dean?" Sam answered after a few rings.

"Sam. I'm on my way to the hotel."

"Are those girls coming with you?"

"Yeah, they're following me there."

"Are you sure we can trust these two? I mean, we have no clue who they are." Sam questioned.

"I think we can trust them. They are hunters, after all. What harm could they do? If they cause any trouble, we'll beat their asses." I said with a smirk.

"Wow, Dean. You're gonna beat up two girls?" My brother questioned.

"Hey, they're hunters, so at least we know they could fight back. Its a fair fight."

Sam chuckled. "So, did you guys find anything at the house?"

"Yeah, Jade found sulfur in the windowsill."

"Alright, demons it is. Should be easy compared to some of the things we hunt."

"Yeah, this should be a milk run. We just need to find them and beat them up."

"What's wrong with you today? You seem exceptionally violent." Sam asked.

"We haven't had a case in a week, I'm ready to kill something." I said with a smirk.

"Of course you are. Hey, how far away are you from the hotel?"

"Maybe a few minutes?"

"Then hang up the phone."

"Why?"

"Because I'm going to see you in three minutes. This conversation is pointless."

I chuckled. "Fine, I'll see you soon."

Sam hung up the phone, and I shoved my phone back in my pocket. Glancing in the rearview mirror, I saw the girls' Impala, and marveled at the fact that I could love any car with any sort of closeness to the amount of love I had for my Impala.

"Don't worry baby, you're still my favourite." I said with a smile.

The hotel came into view, and I slowed down to pull into the parking lot. Juniper parked her car next to mine and climbed out. She went to the trunk and pulled out a pistol.

This raised red flags for me, but I was assuming that this course of action was for possible defense. If so, she was very smart. On the other hand, I'd have to call her an idiot if she planned to attack Sam and me.

The thing that surprised me even more, though, was that Jade followed Juniper to the trunk, and Juniper passed the pistol to her before closing the trunk. Juniper didn't get another one for herself.

"Looks like Jade here is the untrusting one." I mumbled to myself.

I finally opened my door and got out of my Impala, leading the girls to our hotel room. I knocked on the door for Sam to come unlock it.
