Serenity's PoV

It was the last day of term, so starting tomorrow I would be living with McGonagall. I opened my trunk and threw in the rest of my clothes. It was pretty easy. I'd only been living with the Weasleys for a few weeks. I put my wand on top and slowly clipped the trunk shut.

I sprawled out onto my makeshift bed. My sister deserted me. This summer was supposed to be us together, free of our evil father. But, no she went with him. I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up dead, too.

"Dinner!" I head Mrs. Weasley yell to all of her children and me.

I slowly descended the stairs and sat down at the table. George tried to talk to me, but I kept shutting him out. George and Ginny were with us tonight. They looked exhausted from their trip back, but happy nonetheless. I got a few confused looks, but I shook it off.

"May I be excused?" I asked. Mrs. Weasley nodded her head and I left. I marched up the stairs and crashed on my bed. I fell asleep crying.

******THE NEXT DAY******

I woke up to Ginny shaking me. "McGonagall's here," she informed me. I grabbed my trunk and walked downstairs. "Sorry I look like trash," I said quietly.

"It's quite alright dear," she said with a small smile. "Will you come into the kitchen with me?"
I shrugged and followed her into the kitchen. Sirius Black was sitting in one the chairs with a cup of coffee in his hands. I gave a small wave.

"I will have to go back to Hogwarts a few weeks before term starts. I would arrange for you to stay with Mrs. Weasley, but sadly Snape will come and find you here. Someone from the Ministry has informed us that Snape is in fact, still a Death Eater. They would arrest him, but sadly he is under Dumbledore's protection. We're afraid that he will tell Voldemort where you are. So, here is what I propose," McGonagall started. "Sirius is more than willing to take you into his care. His house is already under protection, so it will be safe for you to be there."

"Wait, you have a house?" I asked. Sirius nodded. "I thought you lived under a bridge or something, hiding from the wizard cops."
"My house is enchanted to be completely unnoticeable to the outside world," he explained.
"Sick," I muttered. Sirius gave a small smile.
"So, I'm guessing you're fine with this, Miss Evans?" McGonagall asked.
"Yeah, Sirius is pretty chill," I replied.
"Well, I'll be expecting you," Sirius said. He gave a small smile and then apparated out.
"Good chat," I muttered.

George and Fred walked down the stairs. "Are you leaving?" Fred asked.
"Yeah," I said sadly. I gave him a hug and kissed his cheek. "You can expect me to be at the opening of your new store."

I hugged George, as well. "Don't get into too much trouble without me," I smirked. I reached up and kissed George.

"No promises," he replied.
"I love you," I laughed as I walked over to the door.

"I think I'm ready," I clarified as I linked arms with McGonagall.
McGonagall apparated us to her house. It was a small cottage in the middle of a field. She unlocked her door and motioned for me to go inside. The house was modern and a mixture between light and dark. The floors were a dark oak, but windows filled up most of the walls. There was a table with a few chairs put on each side. The kitchen was neat and tidy. She had glass cabinets filled with expensive looking glasses and bowls. There was a silver fridge, as well as a matching stove.
"It's beautiful," I stammered.
"Thank you dear, I'll show you to your room," McGonagall suggested. I nodded and she led me up the dark wooden staircase.

One we got up the stairs, there was a long hallway with two doors on each side. At the end of the hall was a window letting in natural light. We entered the first bedroom on the left. The first thing I saw was the window seat. It was right across from the door and overlooked some of the trees. There was a bed on the left wall. It had a white frame and a teal bedspread covered the mattress. A dresser and a desk were on the wall by the door. A closet took up most of the right wall. A small bookshelf was by the bed.

"This is amazing. Thank you so much, Professor," I grinned while throwing my arms around her.

"I'm glad to have you here. And, please, call me Minerva," she smiled. "I'm going to go start dinner. You can unpack until it's ready."

I nodded and then threw my trunk on the bed. I took out my wand and put it on my dresser, careful not to let it roll off. I then took out my robes and put them in the closet. I threw the rest of my clothes into a dresser and put my books in the bookshelves. My trunk fit in the back of my closet, so I put it there for the time being.

I wandered out of my room and went into the room beside mine. It was a bathroom. There was a toilet, a shower, a sink, and a bathtub. Soap was on the sink, as well as a new toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. The shower had soap, shampoo, conditioner, and face wash. McGonagall had already bought everything.

I heard her yelling for me, so I ran downstairs and saw her waiting for me at the table. She had made spaghetti and garlic bread. She passed me the bowls and I scooped some food on my plate. We ate in comfortable silence.

"I think I'm going to bed. You can stay up if you would like, dear," McGonagall informed me. "Goodnight, Serenity."
"Goodnight, Minerva, and thank you."

I was exhausted, so I just went up to my bedroom as well. I changed into some comfortable clothes and climbed into bed. For once, I fell asleep to the sound of absolutely nothing.
