The Calm Before the Storm

Charity's PoV

Fred and I left with Tonks and her family. We had been staying her for a couple months and she was due any day now and was getting anxious as the tension grew with Voldemort. We went to our room and Fred gently wrapped his arms around me. 

"I promise I'll keep you safe," he whispered.  He held me like it was going to be the last time.

"I love you, Fred," I whispered, nuzzling my face into the crook of his neck.

"I love you too, Charity,"  he responded pulling me closer.  We just sat there in silence, just holding onto each other, and thinking about all the good and bad times.

I woke up in a panic. Fred was shaking me awake viciously. "Wake up!" he screamed. 

"What's going on?" I gasped as I jumped up. 
"Tonks is giving birth!" I ran downstairs to find Molly Weasley nursing Tonks. 

"It's almost time, dear," she said as she rubbed a wet washcloth on her forehead. Tonks let out a scream and clutched Lupin's hand. I ran to her side and grabbed her other hand. 

"Push!" Molly screamed. 
The baby was finally born after a long labor. Molly went to clean the baby up and Lupin showered his wife in kisses. 

"Congratulations, you've given birth to a beautiful baby boy," Molly said as she returned with the baby. 

"We'll name him Teddy," Tonks decided. 

The five of us sat together, enjoying the presence. The room was filled with happiness when all seemed to be lost. Baby Teddy was beautiful. He was a metamorphmagus, just like his mommy. I leaned back against Fred and kissed him firmly. "I love you." 
"I love you, too," he said as he kissed the top of my head. 

We went to bed late that night. Something felt... off. 

George's PoV

May had arrived and Serenity and I had located in the burrow, living with Mum and Dad. Ginny had been secretly sending Patronuses, letting us know the condition of the school, which was horrible. Snape was the worst headmaster to ever touch Hogwarts, no doubt about it. 

Serenity and I were in our bedroom, wrapped up in each other, talking about what would happen next. "Do you want kids?" she asked, her now red hair draping her face. 
"I've always imagined myself having kids. What about you?"
"I always wanted to adopt a little girl," she replied. 

"Well, we could compromise." 

Serenity shifted to look up at me. "And how's that?" 
"We could adopt a little girl," he started, "and make one of our own." 

I leaned down to kiss her and she wrapped her arms around my neck, kissing me back. We continued snogging, enjoying the precious moments we had alone. 

The next day started much earlier than I would have liked. Mum rushed into my bedroom and shook Serenity and I awake. Serenity clutched to my bare chest. "What happened?" she asked in shock. 

"We need to get to Hogwarts immediately. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in trouble," Mum said quickly before rushing out. 

Serenity and I both rushed around to get ready, me pulling on a flannel shirt and jacket as well as trousers. Serenity had on jeans and a Weasley sweater. She pulled her hair into a bun and I grabbed her hand, pulling her downstairs. 

This was going to be difficult.
