Serenity's PoV

McGonagall and I apparated to a small town. She walked me to door of a small, cozy house. Her arms wrapped around me and I accepted her hug. I had grown to love this woman like a mother.

"Stay safe, dear," she said after wiping a tear from her eye.
"I promise," I said before giving her another hug.

She sent me a reassuring nod before apparating out. I gently knocked on the wooden door and then dropped my hand. The house was a shade of off-white. The blinds were shut on the windows, making it look like the resident wanted to be left alone.

Lupin opened the door and pulled me inside. He lived in a small two-bedroom house. It was cozy and a fire was already burning in his living room. His house smelt faintly of fresh bread and vanilla.
"Thank you for allowing me to stay with you Mr. Lupin," I said.

"Don't be so formal. You can call me Remus."

That's what got me. I ran into his arms and cried into his shoulder.

"Why does my Dad hate me? He loves Charity more, I KNOW IT! And I know George loves her, too! I just want my Mom and James back. And now Sirius is dead and knowing my luck you'll be dead, as well!" I choked out in between tears.

"Sh, sh, sh, it's okay," Lupin whispered. "I'm sure your Dad doesn't hate you. And I know for a fact that George Weasley is in love with you. And I'm not going to die; you are welcome into my home any time."

"Thanks, Remus," I sniffled.

"I'm sorry about James and Lily. I loved them, too."

We stayed like that for a while. Remus ended up crying over Sirius and how he didn't deserve it. We both retired to bed.

My room was small, but cozy. There was a chair, a bookshelf, a drawer, and a bed with a wooden frame. I crashed on the bed and fell asleep, feeling much better about things.
