I would like to personally thank
All the doubters and naysayers
For saying I was worthless
And would only know defeat.
To those who sneered
I was better off dead:
Congratulations,
You were right.
I smiled to myself
As I took your advice;
Killing the version of myself
That would ever pay attention
To your spite.
I no longer care to please you;
I no longer care what you say.
Try all you wish to bribe me,
I will still go my own way.
I only wish you knew
That there is no honour
In what you do;
For pushing others down
Will never pull you up;
And hating those around you
Cannot amount to being loved.
