I have not been the same
Since you left.
And while I understand
You had to leave,
I hope that you know
You will always be a part of me.You gave me the voice
I never thought I had,
And you gave me the courage
To always fight back. You taught me it's okay
To be different,
To be hurting and
Feel strange.
You taught me to embrace
Who I am,
And to never feel
Ashamed.I owe my life to you,
Though I know you won't agree.
Every day I live without you,
I find it harder to breathe. But do not mistake
My words for anger.
I feel neither resentment
Nor betrayal.
And while I wish I could be with you,
The years we spent together
Have left me eternally grateful. And if I had one wish,
As cliché as it may seem,
I would turn back time,
And erase this eulogy.
