Arisa pov:

"How do you plan to get us in?" Raiden whispered from behind me. We were already at the compound wall of the mansion walking in the shadows to the main entrance gate.

Upon reaching the main gate, I looked out from behind the wall to get a good look at what we would be up against. Zooming in on each of the men standing guard, I took note of the weapons that they carried – most of them had rifles, hand guns and daggers strapped to their waists. The aura around all of them was of bloodlust, giving me the message that they had to be avoided at all costs.

"We need to steer clear of those guys," I said, looking back at Raiden. "They have rifles, guns and daggers and getting caught is not an option. I'm going to change into full black attire and you should too, so it will be easier for us to camouflage in the dark."

"Black attire? You really think that's going to be of any help? And surely you're not thinking of sneaking in when you know what weapons those men are carrying!"

"Of course I'm going to sneak in. Isn't that why we came all this way?" I muttered.

"Yes, but I thought you'd back down after seeing the kind of people guarding the place. It's too dangerous for a girl to go in there!" he hollered.

"What is that supposed to mean? How does me being a girl have anything to do with being a part of the military or being a State Alchemist or going ahead with this mission? Girls aren't weak, you know?" I said, annoyed by Raiden's way of thinking.

"That's not what I meant! I just think that a young girl shouldn't be doing something so dangerous. I thought you'd give up for sure after seeing the place closer. You can't be serious about doing this!" he hissed through his teeth this time.

Rolling my eyes, I stepped to the nearby trees so I could change into black attire. As I began to change, first tugging off my shirt to replace it with my black turtleneck shirt, I spoke, "This isn't the first time I've done something like this – I've been doing stealth missions all my life and I've never got caught before."

Except by that jerk Krystal, I thought.

"Besides, my life is all about taking risks. I've dealt with all kinds of people and getting past a bunch or rugged thugs like these is a piece of cake for me."

With my dagger strapped to my side, my glasses and earpiece in place – the latter that I used only to amplify sounds in the distance and help me avoid trouble – I stepped out from behind the trees. Raiden was staring and I raised a brow while braiding my hair so it wouldn't get in the way during my mission.

"What?" I asked and Raiden finally blinked.

"You look different," he mumbled.

With a shake of my head, I stepped back a bit then ran to climb up onto the compound wall. I remained crouching while taking in the huge garden that surrounded the mansion.

"Arisa, get down from there!" Raiden yelled in a hushed whisper. He was curtly ignored and I stood and walked on the compound wall to find the best spot to jump down into the premises.

It was almost halfway around the premises until I found a place to get in. Raiden followed me outside the entire time, yelling at me to come down. He was far too paranoid, though what I was doing was indeed dangerous and risky even though it was something I had done for many years before. All sneak in missions were risky, after all, the last mission in my world had only proved that well enough.
