He wanted to go on a date, so that's what we were doing. I sat there in front of him at a restaurant we've always been going to. I guess it's our place, but it's also someone else's place, someone who couldn't leave my life and when I saw her I wanted to scream. I wanted to pull Gerard up and run from the building.
I watched her and she turned to me. She smiled and began to walk over. I froze. "Gerard!" I yelled quickly. "Mhm?" He asked.
"Go to the bathroom I'll explain when you get back." He looked startled but he listened.
"Hello Frank." She said. "You were supposed to have your daughter tonight." I nodded. "Yes Larissa, I know." She rolled her eyes. "Who were you with? Your husband?"
"Not that it's your business, but yes I was. Stay away from him!!" I said in her face. "Oh Frankie dear, when are you going to inform your sweet little Gerard of the actions that took place in Michigan?"
"I'm about to okay? Get lost and I'll take her tomorrow!" She sighed and walked away from the table.
Gerard finally walked back to the table. "Gerard I'm sorry about what I'm about to say." He nodded as if he knew it would be bad.
"I hitch hiked to Michigan, Gerard. Four years ago." He looked at me. "From New Jersey?"
"Yes. From New Jersey. Anyways I met someone."
"But we were together Frank."
"I know Gerard. I-I cheated on you with a woman." He looked mad.
"The woman that was walking over here?" I simply nodded. "What is she stalking you or something?"
"No, actually she was talking about my daughter."
"Your daughter?!?" He stood up.
"Yes Gerard."
"You have a daughter? What did you abandon her?"
"No! I see her twice a week."
He walked to my side of the table and slapped me. "Don't come home and I mean it."
-Two weeks later-
"Gerard?" I asked over the phone.
"What Frank?" He said.
"Can I come home? Please let me come home."
"Tomorrow." He said. "I don't want to see you until tomorrow."
I hung up the phone and got another phone call.
"Hello?"
"Hello, my I speak to Frank Iero?" A woman's voice spoke. I didn't recognize who it was and I didn't check the caller ID.
"Um yeah, that's me."
"I have you listened as the faternal contact for Alison Iero. Is this correct?" What's wrong with Alice?
"Um yes, why is something wrong?"
"Well there's been an accident." My heart stopped.
