He darted laughing deeply and I didn't find it funny. "Are you serious?!?" He asked finally believing me. "Why?!?" He yelled.
"Because we needed the money!"
"We always need money!" He yelled back at me.
"It was a long time ago. Keeping my kid from you wasn't even the worst thing I've ever done!" He looked at me. "Say it. Right now!"
"I can't! I just can't!"
"Then. Stop SAYING THAT!!! Whenever you tell me, you tell me. But as of right now the worst thing you've done is prostitute. You're a whore! You cheated twice!!"
I grabbed his hands and shoved him against the wall. He shivered at my touch. He started to cry softly and I let go. "YOU ARE NOT THE MAN I MARRIED!!!"
He pushed past me and out the door. He left me. "Where daddy go?" Alice asked quietly. "Did he go with mommy?" I picked her up and hugged her. "No he'll be home soon Al." I whispered, but how could I convince her, when I couldn't convince myself. He has no reason to come home. I put my hands on him. I've never done that before. I can't believe I did that.
I called Gerard about fifteen times, with no repsonse. I was truly starting to worry about him. What if he did join Larissa? My Gerard can't be dead. This thought persuaded me to pick up the phone one more time. And I was relieved to get an answer. "Frank what do you want?" I could hear him crying and I can say it didn't make me cry, because it did.
"Gerard I don't know what happened! Come home baby please?"
"I just need to get away Frank. I'm at Mikey's grave." I gulped a little when I heard where he was. My biggest secret. I shook my head. "I'll see you soon!" I quickly hung the phone up.
