— Third person —
Her skin was soft as velvet and her eyes as dark as chocolate, she had light wisps of caramel brown hair and a cute button nose. Her peachy pink lips were parted, letting her soft and even breaths depart as she lay asleep in the comforting arms of her mother. Weighing in at six pounds and three ounces, it was hard to believe the little girl caused so much pain. Nevertheless, the pain was now a distant memory to Lux Halloway – who gave birth less than a week ago – as she held her beautiful creation in her arms.
Scarlett Sophia Bieber, was undoubtedly one of the most famous children on the planet for many different reasons but that made her families love her no less. The innocent little girl brought happiness to those around, making their hearts swell with pure happiness each time they snuck a glance at the beauty.– just under a week old, and she had her father wedged firmly under her tiny thumb and was the ripe apple of his sparkling eye.
"Ow, you mother-effer!" Justin yelped, his lips latching over his pulsing thumb as the hammer dropped to the dusty pink carpet with a loud thump. Standing at the white painted door frame, Lux shook her head at the clumsy pop star who had, yet again, hit his limb for the fourth time.
"You know, if I was you, I'd just give up and call a professional." Lux joked, her voice quiet and masked with exhaustion as she smoothed her thumb over the material of her daughters pink, onesie. "Or at least call your dad and mine before you loose a finger."
The frown that was pulled between his bushy brows disappeared as his golden irises rested on the bare faced beauty and the sleeping angel in her arms. His heart enhanced in size as sheer love overcame his body. Pulling his thumb from his mouth and wiping the silva onto his navy blue sweats, he stood up from his spot on the floor and walked towards his small family with a content smile on his lips.
"They've helped enough, I wanted to do this myself." He mumbled, lightly brushing his bandaged fingertip between Scarlett's closed eyes. "It's just a few measly shelves and I can't even do that without injuring myself."
The spacious girls room was a room Lux hadn't seen until three days ago, when she and Scarlett returned home. Justin, Jeremy and Robert had slaved for weeks to make Scarlett's room fit for the princess she is – Metallic gold and pink wallpaper lined the feature wall, the others painted a perfect carnation pink shade. The crib, in which Justin had personally engraved with his daughter's name, was pushed to the feature wall with a glass bedside table at it's side and holding a rose printed lamp and picture frame with the happy family inside. The sparkling and expensive chandelier hung from the center of the ceiling, the fake fur rug sprawled across the floor, the draped armchair and matching stool sat fairly close to the crib.
In total, it was a heavenly room that any little girl would dream of having.
"Then leave them, Scarlett won't be even notice them up or down." Lux replied, "You're a singer, Justin, not a builder."
He chuckled in agreement. "I'll try again later, or tomorrow." Lux rolled her tired eyes and smiled sleepily, stifling a small yawn as Justin grabbed the white pieces of wood and stacked them against the wall, away from causing accidents but still in sight to remind him about an unfinished task. "How long has she been sleeping?"
Lux lay Scarlett into the adorable, and draped the pink, knitted blanket over her small body. A small smile lay on the proud mother chapped lips as she sat down on the plush couch, her aching and drowsy body relaxing as she released a breath and that cheeky yawn. "Only thirty minutes."
"Why don't you go to bed and get some rest?" Justin's soft, concerned voice murmured as his body dropped next to hers. Snaking an arm around her shoulders, he pulled her close and kissed the scraped hair.
