- Lux Halloway -
"Baby Bieber turns one!
Last year, Justin Bieber and (now fiancé) Lux Halloway welcomed their daughter into the world and now are preparing welcome their second child in a few months time. When speaking in an interview, Bieber spoke about how their daughter's first birthday would be a private, friends and family filled event in the back garden of their East Hampton home. He proceeded to talk about the excitement he felt for his second child, with gender still under lock and key, but assured US weekly that he and Halloway have already picked out names!"
@justinbieber: This day a year ago my life was changed. I became a father to the most beautiful, precious little girl.
@justinbieber: Happy birthday Scarlett Sophia Bieber. You've made me the happiest man alive. I love you angel :) <3 - via instagram
"Can you believe she's a year already?" The emotional stammer choked from my throat. Rubbing the bottom of my growing stomach, I instinctively smile at Scarlett's beaming smile and infectious giggle as Justin bounced with her on the large, blow-up castle. The smell of barbecued food lingered in the air and sending my taste buds into a frenzy. I jut out my lower lip, turning my head to the group of women gathered around the lengthy patio table. "My baby is growing up too quickly."
"Don't I know." Pattie mutters, shaking her head. "Now she's one, you will blink and the rest of the years will pass in a flash."
"Don't tell me that." I pout. "I just want to keep keep her tiny forever."
"If only it worked like that." Natasha laughed. "But you've got that little one too look forward. Only three and a half more months, and you Ruby, you've only got two!"
Ruby frowns. "Don't remind me. I'm terrified. I've read too many of those baby books and it's scarred me for life. I want to cross my legs and keep him or her in there."
"It'll all be worth it love." Diane assured, patting her leg. "Once you hold that little miracle in your arms, nothing will be more important. The pain, the exhaustion, the frustration, everything will be forgotten."
"I'm holding you to that, Diane." Ruby jokes earning a hearty laugh from the great-grandmother. "Look at them, they are worse than the kids!"
Ryan, Justin, Lil Za, Lil Twist, Scooter, Dan, Alfredo, Ryan Good and even my own father and brother were bouncing on the castled hired only for the kids. Then again, they're ages really didn't matter. I shook my head, laughing at Alfredo boldly chest-bounced with Justin and send both them flying onto their backs. Some of the kids giggles from the sidelines, other jumped through the sprinklers or dived onto their bellies through the water slide. Scarlett however giggled as she wobbly chased her aunt Jazzy, faking a slow run for her niece's expense.
"Jazmyn, bring Scarlett over here for some food!" Erin calls to her young daughter. Jazmyn nods, brushing away her outgrown bangs as she reaches for Scarlett's small hang. She guides the independent infant towards the porch where Carin walks down the three low steps and lifts Scarlett up.
"Hey, hey." Carin hushes as Scarlett squirms and whines, desperately attempting to break free from her non-related aunt's grip. "What's wrong munchkin?"
"Since she's started walking, she doesn't like being picked up much." I laugh, taking my daughter and settling her on my lap. I picked up the mini sausage, biting a bit of and blowing on the warm food. She hungrily removed it from my hand and munched greedily. I smoothed out the skirt of her Ralph Lauren dress and smiled. "I'm very surprised she hasn't even dirtied her dress yet. Justin was wanting to buy her a Gucci one at over two hundred dollars, I blatantly refused to spend so much money if she would ruin it in a few hours."
