— Lux Halloway —
I stared down in a unblinking daze at the milky liquid, swirling around the white mug and creating a miniature hurricane. It was a small thing that hypnotised me – that made me want to push all the angry, stressed and upsetting thoughts into that hurricane and watch them be whisked away. If only it was that simple – if only life was that simple.
Warm, muscular and callous hands snaked across my bare shoulders, slipping his thumbs beneath my pajama tank top and resting his chin in the crook of my neck. His wildly untamed hair tickled my jaw and cheek as he placed a chaste kiss against the base of my neck. My tense body almost sunk into his grip as I reached a hand up and tried to conquer the normal perfect structure of his golden locks.
"Good morning, beautiful." His raspy voice flirted, lightly kissing my exposed skin and giving my shoulders a light squeeze. "I thought I was getting up with Scarlett this morning."
I shrugged gently, "I couldn't sleep. No point on both of us waking." glancing over my shoulder, I smiled faintly. "She's asleep in the nursery, never even took her full bottle before she was out of it again."
Justin chuckled, "Not the first time. Listen, are you going out with Ruby or Natasha today?"
"Their both at work." I replied, "I was thinking about just running errands today. Maybe stop by dad's place for a while then get your parents and grandparents to come over for dinner."
"Why don't we go out for dinner, hm?" He murmured against my naked shoulder. "It saves you from stressing over what to make, and we could do with getting out of this apartment instead of being cooped up all the time. I want to flaunt my two girls' off to the world."
I chewed my lower lip. Going out for dinner sounded fantastic but I knew that there would be many paparazzi finding our location within seconds, then they would be crowding around the restaurant to try and get pictures, cornering us while we tried to get into the car. The sheer thought made my heart double with anxiety.
"Uh– I don't think that's a good idea. You know, what with the paparazzi wanting to get pictures of Scarlett and everything." I mumbled shamefully. Inwardly, I was slapping that scared girl who was cowering at the mere mention of paparazzi. It was apart of Justin's daily life and here I was practically being a vampire who never showed her face during the day, or even at night.
"We can't hide forever, babe." He said, "I don't want to be that person who goes out without his family but I don't want to be thatperson who pressures his girlfriend to go out even when she doesn't want too."
"You're not pressuring me, I'm just being silly." I sighed, "I'm sorry."
"You don't need to be sorry. I know you're scared of the fame life, but you can't hide from it forever and I certainly don't want to hide you or Scarlett. You're apart of my life for a reason and I want the entire world to see that I'm not ashamed. We've nothing to be ashamed for." He explained, "And I don't want you to stress over it."
"A little late."
Between my shoulder blades, his thumbs snuck across and traced lightweight circles into my bare skin. "You're so tight." a quiver of tingles ran down my spine at his touch as I suppressed a moan at his deep, husky and ever-so seductive murmur.
"I–I'm what?" I squeaked, latching my teeth over my lower lip and battling to hold in the moan that begged desperately for freedom.
"Tight. You're muscles, I mean." He clarified, adding slightly more pressure into the heavenly massage. His lips brushed against my ear, a smirk evident even with closed eyes and a bowed head. "Why? Did you think I was meaning something else?"
