- Lux Halloway -
The sea glistened beneath the beautiful sunrise that appeared along the horizon, coating the dark skies with beautifully warm orange and pink colours. I hummed in bliss, leaning comfortably on the balcony railing as I overlooked the gorgeous early morning view. Being a victim of timezone, I awoke at five am and was unsuccessful at falling back asleep, so I made my way outside and into the peaceful atmosphere.
My heart was double it's size and had remained that way from the moment Justin sprung his 'spontaneous' surprise on me yesterday afternoon. I had blamed the constant crying on the pregnancy hormones however everyone saw through my lie, but let me retain my dignity by agreeing. Arriving at the most gorgeous, most lavish - most expensive, private villa last night, it was far too late to be enjoying the nightlife, instead we all called it a night and departed to our rooms. After we had inspected Justin's choice, of course.
"Baby?" His soft, raspy murmur awoke me from my daydream. His large hands gently crept onto my waist as his bulky bare body pressed against my back. He dipped his head, laying a feather-like kiss on my exposed collarbone as his fingers trailed absentmindedly under my loose tank and over my stomach. "What are you doing up so early? Come back to bed."
"Because timezones suck." I giggled. "Plus, Scarlett will be waking soon and I could not pass up an opportunity to see a Bahama sunrise. It's just too beautiful."
He hummed slightly. "Yes you are." I rolled my eyes and smiled, turning to face his sleepy face and wildly untamed hair. He grins and reaches for my cheek, stroking his callous thumb against my bone. "Happy birthday beautiful."
I close my eyes as his lips rested against mine, sparking my veins with love and warmth. As he unwilling draws away, my eyes remained shut as the contentment bubbles in the pit of my stomach. Fluttering my gaze open, my smile widened at the sight of his. "Thank you, and thank you for this too. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to ever be setting foot on Bahama turf."
"You don't need to thank me sweetheart." He says. His tone was slightly husky and throaty, that boosted his already sky-high attractive level to the point where I felt dampness between my legs. "I wanted to something amazing for you and dinner back home just didn't appeal to that wow-factor I was aiming for. I asked around for suggestions, of course your dad and Natasha being the main two and that's when I found out it was your dream to come here. What better way to celebrate your birthday by crossing a dream of your wish-list, aye?" He chuckles abruptly. "I'm just glad you didn't flip. I was so worried."
"Why did you think I would flip? Babe, you took me to the Bahamas! It would be utterly impossible to get mad." I exclaim.
"Because you were so persistent in saying that you didn't want anything special done, and that was never going to happen. I just figure that maybe you would freak when you saw the jet, adding the pregnancy mood-swings too, I was considering even wearing padded clothing just incase you hit me." He jokes as I feebly slap his chest. "But in seriousness; you like it?"
"No." I murmur, watching as his face fell in disappointment. Rising on my tiptoes, I stopped my lips an inch away from his and whispered, "I absolutely, one hundred percent, adore it."
"Good. Because I absolutely, one hundred percent, adore you." He whispers. Rejoining our lips for a sweet and innocent smooch, the pair of us turned back to the sun now almost fully appearing in the glorious sky.
"Da-da." A small, whining cry slipped from inside our room.
"That's your cue, daddy." I whispered with a giggle. He chuckles, letting my waist go with a kiss on the temple, before escaping inside and lifting our sleepy daughter from her travel crib. He kissed her forehead, whispering a hushed good morning as she rubs her eye with a slight whine, digging her head back into the warmth of Justin's neck. "What's wrong princess? You're usually a morning person."
