— Justin Bieber —
"Please welcome for his first live interview since the dramatic breakup of his engagement and birth of his daughter, Justin Bieber." Ellen Degeneres announced as the crowed roared with cheers, squealing and applause. Giving a signature deuses sign and flashing a ecstatic yet tired grin, I approached Ellen with open arms. She greeted me with her warm and welcoming smile, motioning me to sit as I glanced to the audience, waving at the emotional girls sitting in the third row. As they quieted, Ellen continued to grin. "Wow. How does it feel to still get that response even after all these years. How many has it been, seven, eight?"
"Nine actually." I chuckled. "It'll be ten in two weeks. A very long time but getting that response each time makes everything worthwhile." The crowd echoed with liveliness.
"Nine, holy cow." She breathed, "I should have known you've been in the industry for almost ten years because you are not only nominated for four billboard awards but also the millennium award!" The onlookers erupted in hoots, putting their hands together in a wave of applause as I mouthed a thank you. "How does that feel?"
"Honestly, it's so overwhelming I can't even begin to describe how amazing it feels. I can't thank my fans enough for voting for me." I spoke clearly, "I love you guys, you're my heart and my soul and without you all, none of this would be anywhere near possible. So thank you."
The cheers quieted again and Ellen tapped her cards against her jean clad knee. "Well I can only wish you the best of luck and I'm sure the outcome will be amazing. Now, I'm just seeing here that you haven't been here in just over a year! You haven't returned my calls or texts either.. I mean, did that night mean nothing to you, Justin?"
I laughed at Ellen's natural sarcasm and shook my head, "I'm sorry but y'know, life's been pretty hectic over the last year or so and well, daddy duties call."
"Oh yes, little Scarlett! How is she?"
"She's perfect— aw, there she is." I grinned as a recent instagram picture flashed on the large screen. "That's my princess." another flashed and only made my beam increase. "I'm sorry, what was your question? I can't focus when her little face is there."
The audience laughed and Ellen repeated, "How is she?"
"She's perfect, she's just hit the half year mark and growing more and more each day. She continues to amazement every time I lay eyes on her." I replied, "She's understanding everything, getting very independant and showing her cheeky little character. She's curious to explore and Lux and I are convinced she's trying to crawl already because when she lies on her stomach, she does these movements with her legs and arms that we've nicknamed the frog moves because that's exactly what they look like."
"That's adorable." She commented, "Already six months. Wow, months really do fly by."
"Don't I know it." I laughed, "That's why I took so long of after her birth. I didn't want to miss anything and being away from her now, even though she and Lux are only at home and probably watching this, makes me anxious just to get back and see her again. Her expression when I walk in from being at work or at the store is just so incredible, this beautiful little girl is so happy just to see me, like that's so crazy."
"Is she a daddy's girl then?"
I chuckled, "I suppose she is but equally she's a mommy's girl too."
Ellen smiled, "Speaking of Lux, how is she?"
"Lux is doing brilliantly— oh, and there she is too." I laughed as an appearance of my instagram snaps of Lux found their way onto the screen. "She's beautiful. If Scarlett turns out anything like her, I'll be signing her up to a nunnery."
