Chapter 10

[Chanyeol's P.O.V.]

"It's just.. ugh! Bahala ka na! Aalis na'ko!", I yelled and immediately went inside the car, slamming the door shut. Masama bang tanungin kung anong oras siya uuwi? I just want to be sure that she'll come back. The heck's with her? Ako na nga itong concern sa kanya ako pa itong binabara niya. Bahala siya.

I glared at her from the tinted window of the car. She rolled her eyes as if she can see me from the inside and heaved a sigh. Kung minsan talaga hindi ko siya maintindihan, same as I am to myself.

Our parents had a little chit chat before Mom and Dad decided to go. And as the car move, sinundan ko lang ng tingin si Jae who stood there watching as we leave with a hint of disappointment in her eyes that made me felt bad for myself. I don't know how it happened that the look on her face made me remember how she cried to me the night before when she was drunk and how I asked forgiveness in her sleep.

I told myself that I'll look after her, nangako akong babawi ako sa kanya and yet this is what I've done before we parted. Bakit pakiramdam ko nagiging dramatic na naman ako?

"Chanyeol", Dad called and I immediately turned to him. I think he noticed that I'm looking at Jae from the back of the car.

"Is this how you want to say goodbye to your wife? I know you're still adjusting with everything but I think it's not a good thing leaving her in disappointment like that, ijo", Dad said with a smile as he looked at me through the rear view mirror. And as if on cue, I told Dad to stop the car and immediately made my way to her. I saw how she was surprised upon seeing me getting out of the car and ran to where she is.

"Ano na naman bang--", before she can even finish what she was about to say, I held her cheek and kissed her forehead for three seconds while telling her 'sorry' through my mind. I still don't have the guts to say such things to her while she's awake.

"Be back. I'll wait..", I whispered to her and felt satisfied how she reacted. I never knew I'd have this effect on to someone, especially her. Standing frozen with wide eyes, obviously because of her shock for the unexpected act, blushing face, and parted lips I like to kis-- no. That's too much, Chanyeol.

And so before I could do anything more than what I've already done, I bid them goodbye and ran back to the van. I smiled when Dad gave me a thumbs up before finally driving the van away.

"Hyung, ano ba? Kanina ka pang tingin ng tingin diyan sa cellphone mo? Dapat na ba'kong magselos?", nakangusong tanong ni Sehun sabay tawa nung tiningnan ko siya ng masama tapos nakisawsaw pa si Kai. Naisipan naming tumambay sa bahay nila Sehun at maglaro ng video games para pampalipas ng oras sa araw ng Linggo. Pero kahit nagkakatuwaan kami, hindi ako mapakali.

"Hindi kasi siya nagte-text", iritableng sagot ko sa kanila bago sila umiling at ibinalik ang atensyon sa laro nila.

"Sino ba? 'Yung asawa mo sa papel na si Jae?", nakangising tanong ni Kai habang ginigitgit si Sehun para mawala sa kontrol ang minamanehong racing car.

"Kamusta na nga pala kayong dalawa, hyung?", tanong ni Kai bago kumagat sa pizza na hawak niya habang sa kabila ay hawak niya ang control stick.

"Still the same", kibit-balikat kong sagot bago muling tiningnan ang cellphone ko.

"Same what? Unknowingly having feelings for each other? Boom!", nakataas ang isang kilay na tanong ni Sehun habang nakangisi. Nagtataton siya matapos niyang manalo sa laro. Umiling na lang ako sa mga kalokohang naiisip nila.

"Pwede ba?", pang-iirap ko.

"Pwede naman, hyung. Tutal asawa mo naman na si Jae, there's a great possibility for you to have feelings for her", sabi ni Sehun.
