Hello There Lucy (Part 3 of 3)

I can't help but feel overly joyful as I ended the call.

Paano ba naman, sino ba ang hindi kikiligin kay Best at kay David? Their love story is a sure keep, something that I am also praying for, when I am alone, and by myself. When no one sees me. When I can freely talk to God and seek His plans for me.

I mean don't get me wrong. I am 32, single, no boyfriend since birth. And at my age, I also have thoughts of falling in love, (I did once but ended not too well) of being loved by someone I love, having a family, carrying in my womb my own children and running after them.

I guess though, I am made to be single. You know. Not all are the marrying type. Some are created to be single and be happy helping their friends make  their happy endings.

I am doing it for Maggie and David, I am also an accomplice of Brian in all his surprises for his wife, and even with Zen Choi (now one of my closest friends) who just got married 3 months ago. I always capture "chocolatey" moments of couples for their pre-nup videos and photos and even edit their video proposals.

There is a sense of fulfilment in doing such, photography and video editing are my passion, but yes, at the back of my mind nagdadasal talaga ako na sana hulugan ako ng langit ng taong mamahalin ko habang buhay.

Yung parang si David kay Maggie.

Kahit na medyo nasayang ang pinaghandaan ko sanang dinner date nila dito sa rooftop ng hotel eh sulit na rin kasi alam kong masaya ngayon sila sa Korea.

Sa sobrang saya eh nakalimutan akong tawagan at abisuhang di  na matutuloy ang plano namin ni David at sa pagbabalik na lang nila dito next week ibibigay ang portrait. Excited pa naman akong makita ni Maggie yung mga stolen shots ko nila as a couple. For sure kikiligin yun.

"Best sorry talaga. I didn't know na may plan pala si David eh."

"Eh ano pa bang magagawa ko best? Eh Nagpa book ka na pala ng flight niyong tatlo without telling me. Nakakaloka talaga kayo. Kayo na, kayo na ang in love."

"Part kasi ng surprise ko itong trip sa Korea eh apart from my pregnancy. Alam mo na. quality time together bago pa lumaki ang tiyan ko. Saka para kumustahin na rin yung mga family ni David."

"I know naman. Just enjoy your week there ha. At ingatan mo ang sarili mo at ang baby."

"Yes best. Promise yan."

"O sige. Bye na best. I have to fix this set up pa."

"Best."

"Oh?"

"I'll pray for your love life din."

"Naku, sige nga at ng madali-dali ang pagdating niya."

I smiled remembering our talk. Is there really someone out there who is willing to spend his lifetime with me?

I went to talk to one of the staff and told his team to remove all the decorations and the preparations we made.

Umupo ako saglit sa mesa at ininom yung orange juice ni Maggie when out of nowhere, someone with a Rolex watch handed me a gray handkerchief. Napatingin ako sa taong nasa harapan ko at nagulat sa nakita ko.

Yes. He is the same guy I've met at the grocery Nakakahiya ako. Para akong tanga na nagmadaling umalis. Paano niya ko nakita dito? What is he doing here? At the rooftop of this hotel?

"Hey. I am just trying to be friendly and for the record, I am not stalking you just like what your eyes are telling me. I went out with a hot friend and sent her to her room when I saw you getting inside the elevator. You know very well that you still owe me a date so I decided to follow you, only to see you like this."
