It's past 8pm but I am still here in front of the computer. Pakiramdam ko nga ako si superwoman sa dami ng pinagawa sa akin ni Sir David. Aba talagang I need to take vitamins eh after naming kumain ng pizza eh he left me with 10 things to do. Imagine that! Wow, I am not complaining it's just that I don't think it's fair. Yes, he is the boss here but he should set an example right? Sana sinasamahan niya ko dito di ba? But thank God, I have accomplished all the things that he asked me to do. Di ako ganun kagaling na tao pero I'm determined to do the things I set my heart into. After all, God has entrusted me with things that He knows I am capable of doing. Di ako susuko. Nasa dugo ko ang dugo ni Gabriella Silang, lalaban to.
Binasa ko ulit ang aking things to do:
1. Research on online English resources for Non English speakers
2. Come up with a summary of the things I've researched about
3. Draft a module for students who are ages 7 to 9
4. Draft a module for student who are ages 10 to 12
5. Come up with at least 5 worksheets for the modules made
6. Design a welcome tarpaulin for the students
7. Read about Korean culture so I'd know what to say to them
8. Write a short announcement to hire English as a Second Language Teachers
9. Create a Facebook fan page for the English Center
10. Write a press release about the opening of the English center
Shocks. 9 over 10 lang pala ang nagawa ko. Di ko pa nagagawa yung pang 10. Patay. Paano to? Siguro karapatan ko namang umuwi di ba? Magpapaalam na ko.
I tetext ko na sana si Sir David nang bigla siyang tumawag. Wow. As in wow. Naalala niya kong tawagan. Ano na naman kaya ang idadagdag ng boss ko?
"Did you take your vitamins?"
"Huh? No not yet. I have not gone to the drugstore. I'll just buy later."
" What do you mean? You didn't see the vitamins in the small paper bag? I think I placed that... Oh. I'm sorry I forgot, I placed that on my table. You can just get it tomorrow."--- Ano siya Tatay ko? Worry much lang ang peg? Well, libre naman siguro tong vitamins na to? Kukunin ko na lang.
"Sir, I'll just get it now. Libre mo naman to siguro Di ba?"
"Wait, it's past 8pm, are you telling me you're still in the center?"--- Medyo tumaas ang boses niya. Eh sorry ha. Kung mabagal akong magtrabaho.
"Sir, I'm so sorry if I am not a fast worker. I just can't do all the 10 things that you asked me to do."--- pagproprotesta at sarkastikong sagot ko sa kanya.
"Look, please. Next time, please think. The list is a guide for you. It's not meant to be done in one day!"--- aba, naghahamon yata ng away tong si sir David Ah.
"So Sir, are you firing me now?!"
"Look, Maggie..."
Di ko na tinapos pa ang sasabihin niya at binaba ko na ang phone. Di niya ko kailangang sigawan dahil may puso rin akong nasasaktan!
Inayos ko ang gamit ko at naglagay ng konting powder sa mukha dahil baka ma-meet ko ang Prince Charming ko sa kalsada. Pinatay ko ang mga ilaw at nagpaalam kay Manong guard. Pasakay na sana ako nang tricycle nang may bumusina sa aking kotse.
And with the bright light coming from the car, a realization just hit me. Boom!
