Slowly yet determinedly, I sucked in a deep breath and let Will tug me through the water. Right now nothing mattered, not winning, not the scenery, the only thing that mattered was the way Will's arms wrapped around me securely making me feel all giddy. We swam the length of the lake in silence and when we finally arrived to the edge of the pool we were met with an ecstatic Neena.
"Hah! I win, I win, I win, I win!" She cried excitedly. I refrained from rolling my eyes and instead gave Neena a reluctant look
"Since I win I get to give you a dare, Shanan" Instead of objecting I stupidly said
"Why aren't you daring Will as well?" Neena gave me rather condescending look
"If Will goes with you then who will save you when things go amiss?" This time I allowed myself to roll my eyes at her, she came up with such ridiculous antics but still I felt tingles at the thought of Will being there to protect me.
"What's the dare?" I asked reluctantly knowing that Neena wouldn't let me back out of this dare.
"You have to go through the forest and camp out there for the night" it sounded simple enough except for the fact that it was dark, I would be alone and these were the very same forests that haunted me in my sleep and yet I still nodded my head, excepting the challenge and wanting to do something daring and crazy.
"I accept" and without waiting to see the expressions on their faces I turned on my heels and made a move on. This was going to be a long night and I didn't want to waste any time.
